On a Tears of the Kingdom replay, use the Adventure Log to recover quest threads, the Purah Pad Shrine Sensor and map pins to locate Shrines, and your own checklist or map marks to track Koroks methodically. If you play the Switch 2 Edition, ZELDA NOTES adds achievement rates for Shrine clears and Korok discoveries, plus guided navigation.

Check the Adventure Log to resume quests

Press the Minus button, then open the Adventure Log to review quests recorded as started or finished on the current save. Nintendo Support says, “You can review any quests you’ve started (and finished) by pressing the – (Minus) Button and navigating to the Adventure Log.” Nintendo’s general tips for playing Tears of the Kingdom note that many entries include hints or reminders, making the log a useful place to pick up an unfinished thread.

The log records quests the save has tracked; the cited Nintendo guidance does not say it provides one percentage for every quest category. If your replay goal is a documented sweep, keep a separate list of quests you want to complete and check them off as you go.

Use the Purah Pad to find Shrines and review your route

Shrine Sensor

The Purah Pad’s Sensor tracks Shrines and gives an audible alert when one is nearby. Nintendo’s official game guide places Purah Pad feature unlocks in the Hateno Village Research Lab quest progression. The Sensor helps you search nearby, but it is a locator rather than a complete checklist of every Shrine you have cleared.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - For Nintendo Switch 2
  • Enhanced performance and visuals exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2.
  • Explore the skies, caves, and vast lands of Hyrule in a massive open-world adventure.
  • Wield new and returning abilities to craft solutions, vehicles, and weapons.
  • Discover the mystery behind the spreading gloom threatening the kingdom.
  • Use the ZELDA NOTES app to share, compare, and earn daily bonuses.

Scope pins for Shrines you have spotted

When you can see a Shrine but cannot reach it yet, open the Scope and place a pin. The pin appears on your map, giving you a reminder to return. Nintendo’s guide documents the Scope and map pins as separate tools from the Sensor.

Hero’s Path for travel history

Hero’s Path Mode shows where you have travelled during the current journey. Use it to notice areas you may have missed exploring, not to confirm Shrine, Korok, or quest completion: a route trace is travel history, not a completion record.

Rank #2
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Standard - Nintendo Switch [Digital Code]
  • Ultrahand: Using the new Ultrahand ability, Link can pick up, move, and rotate almost any object, and can even attach objects together to create bridges, vehicles, and more!
  • Fuse: Magically fuse almost any object to Link’s current weapon, shield, or arrow to increase durability, damage, or even add a new effect. Experiment with lots of different combinations to come up with surprising—and sometimes hilarious—results!
  • Ascend: Add a new dimension to your exploration with Ascend, which gives Link the ability to pass through solid objects above him. Rise up through ceilings, hillsides, and even certain enemies to create seemingly impossible shortcuts.
  • Recall: Use Recall to make objects in motion move backward through time, letting Link ride fallen boulders skyward, recover thrown weapons, or send projectiles back where they came from.

Each completed Shrine awards a Light of Blessing. Four Lights of Blessing can be exchanged at a Goddess Statue for a heart container or stamina vessel, according to Nintendo Play’s Shrine and Korok guide.

Track Korok Seeds with a separate checklist

Koroks are hidden around Hyrule, and finding or helping one can earn a Korok Seed. Hestu trades Seeds for additional weapon, shield, and bow inventory slots. For context on how Koroks and their rewards work, see Nintendo Play’s guide.

Nintendo’s official guidance for the original Switch does not describe a master checklist showing every found and missing Korok. For a careful replay sweep, pair the game’s visible records with a personal map, notes, or checklist. Hero’s Path can help you remember where you travelled, but it does not identify uncollected Koroks.

What changes on the Switch 2 Edition

ZELDA NOTES is available for the Switch 2 Editions of Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild, not as a feature of the original Switch edition. For Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo says it can show achievement rates for Shrine clears and Korok discoveries, guide you by voice toward a selected map marker, and update the phone map with your in-game position every few seconds. It requires the Nintendo Switch App on a smart device; Nintendo says a Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required. See Nintendo’s ZELDA NOTES information.

The Switch 2 Edition also includes two save files, allowing you to keep an existing save and start another adventure. Nintendo says the second save file created in the Switch 2 Edition cannot be transferred to the original Switch game. Check Nintendo’s Switch 2 Edition information before planning a replay across consoles.

Choose a tracking setup for your replay

Setup What it tracks or helps with What to add
Original Switch, casual return Adventure Log for started and finished quests; Shrine Sensor for nearby Shrines; Hero’s Path for travel history Use Scope pins for visible Shrines you want to revisit
Original Switch, completionist run The same in-game tools, but no official master Korok checklist is established in Nintendo’s cited guidance Maintain personal quest and Korok checklists or map marks
Switch 2 Edition In-game tools plus ZELDA NOTES achievement rates for Shrine clears and Korok discoveries, and marker navigation on a smart device Use the app if you want its rates and navigation; a Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required

Do not treat a post-story map completion percentage as proof that every quest or Korok is complete. The available Nintendo guidance cited here does not establish exactly what that percentage counts.
