For reliable Pokémon Winds and Waves reveals, revisit the official news listing, then verify important details on the official game page and Pokémon or Nintendo announcements. There is no announced reveal schedule, so treat a detail as confirmed only when an official source publishes it.
Where to check for official reveals
- Bookmark the official news listing. The Japanese Pokémon Winds and Waves news page displays dated entries, including the first trailer on February 27, 2026, and a main-theme making-of video on May 13, 2026. It is a Japanese listing, so you may need browser translation. Its visible entries are useful update markers, but do not establish that every announcement appears there or that reveals follow a fixed cadence.
- Verify the game details on the official game page. The official Pokémon Winds and Waves page presents the announcement trailer and core information, including the setting, characters, and first partner Pokémon.
- Check publisher announcements. Look for confirmation from The Pokémon Company or Nintendo. Nintendo’s March 2, 2026 news article says: “Stay tuned for more information about Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves, releasing exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.” It does not specify when further information will arrive.
How to keep a useful reveal log
When you see a new claim, record the date, the Pokémon or feature, the exact official source, and what the source actually confirms. Keep unanswered details marked as unknown instead of filling them in with fan theories.
- Confirmed: The source explicitly states or shows the detail.
- Unexplained: An official source shows something but does not explain its meaning or role.
- Unconfirmed: The claim lacks confirmation from an official Pokémon or Nintendo source.
For example, official materials show Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu, but the official text reviewed does not explain their story role. Their appearance is confirmed; theories about what they do are not.

The Pokémon Company announced Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves on February 27, 2026. The announcement describes an open world of windswept islands and a vast ocean, with Pokémon adapted to the regional environment. It names these first partner Pokémon:
