For a one-off image, open the AI-generated website in Firefox and use its built-in full-page screenshot option. For repeatable captures, use Playwright’s screenshot API with fullPage: true. In either case, wait until the page is in the state you want, then inspect the saved image: a full-page capture does not guarantee that content still loading or loaded only on demand has rendered.
What a full-page screenshot captures
A full-page screenshot captures the page’s full scrollable area, including content below the current viewport. It is a picture of what the browser has rendered—not a special capture mode for AI-built sites. If a site generator, preview, or front-end script is still changing the page, wait for the desired state before capturing it.
For content that loads as you scroll, visit the relevant sections first when practical, then inspect the image. Check the top, middle, and bottom for missing sections, blank image areas, or duplicated content. These are useful quality checks, not guarantees about how every site or browser handles dynamic content.
How to take a full-page screenshot in Firefox
Firefox’s built-in screenshot feature is the simplest documented option for an occasional capture without code. Mozilla says it can capture a full web page and save the image or copy it.

- Open the generated website in Firefox and wait until it displays the page state you want.
- Open Firefox’s screenshot feature and choose the full-page capture option.
- Save the image or copy it to the clipboard.
- Open or paste the result and check the top, middle, and bottom for missing or repeated content.

Firefox DevTools options
For a more technical route, Firefox DevTools documents an optional toolbar button for taking an entire-page screenshot. You may need to enable that button in DevTools settings. Firefox’s Web Console also has a :screenshot helper with options including a delay, which can help when you need to wait for a timed state such as a menu or animation. How to take a full-page screenshot with Playwright
For repeatable captures in a development or review workflow, Playwright supports a full-page screenshot option. Its documentation defines this as capturing the full scrollable page, as if it fit on a very tall screen. The JavaScript call is:

The networkidle wait is one possible settling condition, not a guarantee that every application’s content is ready; some sites continue background requests or load sections only after scrolling. If the result is incomplete, wait for a meaningful page state or element before taking the screenshot, and inspect the output.

How to check the result and avoid common problems
- Content is missing below the fold: The page may still be rendering or may load sections on demand. Wait for the desired state, scroll through the page where appropriate, and capture again.
- Images are blank: Check that they appeared in the browser before capture. If they load late, wait for them or the relevant page section, then repeat the capture.
- A menu or timed state is absent: Trigger the state before capturing. In Firefox, the DevTools
:screenshothelper supports a delay; for automation, wait for the relevant element or state rather than relying only on a fixed pause. - The tall image is difficult to review: Inspect it at more than one zoom level, especially around section boundaries. If the goal is to check responsive behavior, take separate viewport screenshots at the widths you care about instead of treating one tall image as responsive testing.
- The capture tool option is hard to find: Firefox’s controls can change. Check Mozilla’s current support guide; for the DevTools toolbar button, consult the Firefox DevTools documentation.
