For the 2026 U.S. MLB postseason, coverage is split among NBC, TBS, FOX and FS1. Peacock streams NBC’s Wild Card Series; FOX One streams FOX and FS1 games; TBS access depends on your TV or streaming package. MLB.TV alone does not stream every U.S. postseason game live.
Which service carries each 2026 postseason round?
FOX Sports’ round-by-round guide assigns the U.S. games as follows. FOX versus FS1 assignments can vary by game, so check the live schedule for the game you want.
| Round | Network | Streaming route |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Card Series | NBC | Peacock |
| American League Division Series (ALDS) | TBS | Depends on your TV or streaming package; confirm TBS is included. |
| American League Championship Series (ALCS) | TBS | Depends on your TV or streaming package; confirm TBS is included. |
| National League Division Series (NLDS) | FOX or FS1 | FOX One; FOX games are also available through FOX Sports’ app and site with an eligible TV-provider login. |
| National League Championship Series (NLCS) | FOX or FS1 | FOX One; FOX games are also available through FOX Sports’ app and site with an eligible TV-provider login. |
| World Series | FOX | FOX One; FOX Sports says all World Series games are on FOX. |
The listed 2026 dates are tentative: the Wild Card Series began September 29, the Division Series October 3, the League Championship Series October 11, and the World Series October 23. Game times and matchups are subject to change; consult the current schedule for exact assignments and start times.
What do you need to stream each part of the postseason?
Wild Card Series: Peacock
The Wild Card games are on NBC, with Peacock identified as the streaming route. They are not available live through MLB.TV in the United States. If a game is your priority, verify Peacock’s current access terms and the schedule before it starts.

ALDS and ALCS: a package with TBS
TBS carries the American League Division and Championship Series, but the reviewed official information does not establish one standalone streaming subscription or a specific plan tier for those games. Check the exact package and local channel lineup before signing up; do not assume every live-TV streaming plan includes TBS.
NLDS, NLCS and World Series: FOX, FS1 and FOX One
FOX One is the streaming route FOX Sports identifies for FOX/FS1 postseason coverage. FOX games can also be watched on FOX Sports’ site and app with an eligible TV-provider login. Since individual FOX-versus-FS1 assignments vary, check the listing for each game rather than relying on the round name alone.

Can MLB.TV stream the postseason?
Not all of it live in the United States. MLB’s postseason viewing guidance says U.S. subscribers need authentication through a participating pay-TV provider to watch select FOX and TBS games live. NBC/Peacock Wild Card games are excluded from MLB.TV live viewing in the U.S.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesMLB.TV also provides postseason audio and full-game archives 90 minutes after a game ends. Those options are useful if live video access is unavailable, but an archive is not a live stream.

There is an international distinction: MLB says subscribers outside the United States can watch postseason games live except in Canada. Its help page does not give a country-by-country rights breakdown, so check the applicable territory restrictions rather than applying the U.S. rules everywhere.
How does ESPN’s MLB.TV arrangement affect postseason viewing?
ESPN announced that it became MLB.TV’s exclusive rights holder under an agreement covering 2026–2028, with games available through the ESPN App and MLB platforms in 2026. ESPN describes MLB.TV as including regular-season out-of-market games and select 2026 postseason games, subject to restrictions. That announcement does not remove the U.S. authentication requirement for select FOX and TBS games or make NBC/Peacock Wild Card games live on MLB.TV. See ESPN’s agreement announcement and MLB’s current help guidance for the relevant terms.

Can one streaming package cover every round?
Potentially, if the package carries your local NBC and FOX stations plus TBS and FS1. Availability varies by market and plan, so compare the channels actually included in your location—not just the service’s name or a general channel list.
Recommended Free Tools
- Check whether the package carries your local NBC station for Wild Card games.
- Confirm it includes TBS for ALDS and ALCS games.
- Confirm it includes your local FOX station and FS1 for the NLDS and NLCS, and FOX for the World Series.
- Verify the channel lineup for your address and the specific plan before subscribing.
A local HDTV antenna may receive FOX or NBC over the air where a station and adequate signal are available. It cannot provide TBS or FS1, so it is only a partial option for the postseason. Reception varies by location; see the FCC’s reception map.
