To stop Secure Wi-Fi on a supported Galaxy, open Settings > Security and privacy > Secure Wi-Fi and tap Stop, if that control appears. To prevent automatic protection, turn off Auto protect Wi-Fi. To leave the service and erase its stored personal data, choose More options (⋮) > Settings > Erase personal data, then confirm with Erase and leave.
Samsung’s menus vary by device and region. If you cannot find Secure Wi-Fi, search for it in Settings.
Choose the action that matches what you want
Stopping a session, preventing automatic activation, and leaving Secure Wi-Fi are different actions. Use the control that matches your goal:

Samsung documents the stop and automatic-protection controls in its UK Secure Wi-Fi guide and German Secure Wi-Fi guide. Its US instructions document the erase-and-leave route.

How to stop Secure Wi-Fi or turn off automatic protection

Open Settings on your Galaxy phone.

Tap Security and privacy > Secure Wi-Fi. On some devices, the menu may instead be under Biometrics and security. If neither path appears, use the Settings search field and search for Secure Wi-Fi.

To end protection currently in use, tap Stop if available. To change automatic behavior, switch off Auto protect Wi-Fi.

The controls address different things: switching off automatic protection does not itself mean you have used the in-service Stop control to end current protection.

Open Settings > Security and privacy > Secure Wi-Fi, or locate Secure Wi-Fi through Settings search.

Samsung describes this action as erasing personal data and leaving Secure Wi-Fi. Its instructions do not specify all the steps or conditions for setting up the service again, so do not assume the data can be restored.

Why Secure Wi-Fi may be missing
Samsung says Secure Wi-Fi is not supported on every Galaxy phone. Availability can depend on country, carrier, and network environment, and some apps or websites may not allow a Secure Wi-Fi connection. Search Settings first; if the feature still does not appear, it may not be available for your device or service conditions. Samsung’s US support page outlines these availability limits.
Menu names also vary between Samsung’s current and older instructions: the newer US route uses Security and privacy, while older guidance may use Biometrics and security. Use Settings search rather than assuming every Galaxy has the same menu layout.
Check your plan details on the phone
Secure Wi-Fi plan allowances are not consistent across Samsung’s support materials. The US support page gives conflicting monthly free-plan amounts, and the UK page describes different amounts by Android version. For the allowance that applies to your device and account, open Secure Wi-Fi and check Protection plan rather than relying on a general figure.
