Start with the mouse, its distance from the PC, and nearby USB 3.0 devices; then troubleshoot Windows Bluetooth and the laptop’s model-specific drivers. The steps below apply to Windows 11 and Windows 10, but they are general Windows guidance—not a confirmed Snapdragon X Elite-specific fix. The available sources do not establish that the Snapdragon X Elite causes Bluetooth mouse stutter or that Qualcomm has issued a fix for it.
Check whether it is stutter or a brief wake delay
If the cursor hesitates only after the mouse has been idle, wait a few seconds and see whether it reconnects and moves normally. Some Bluetooth mice sleep to preserve battery life and may take several seconds to reconnect after inactivity, according to Microsoft’s Surface mouse and keyboard troubleshooting guide. Persistent, repeated cursor interruptions call for the checks below.
Start with the mouse and its surroundings
- Check power and range. Charge the mouse or replace its batteries, bring it close to the PC, then switch it off and back on.
- Test for nearby USB interference. Move the PC or mouse away from nearby unshielded USB 3.0 devices and test again. Microsoft notes that “Unshielded USB devices can sometimes interfere with Bluetooth connections.” See Fix Bluetooth problems in Windows.
- Reduce Bluetooth activity temporarily. Turn off other connected Bluetooth devices, then check whether the mouse stutter changes.
- Pair the mouse again if needed. Remove it from Windows Bluetooth settings, then pair it again. Microsoft includes this as general accessory troubleshooting; it is not a guaranteed fix.
Run Windows Bluetooth troubleshooting and update drivers
Use the built-in troubleshooter
On Windows 11, open Get Help and run the Bluetooth troubleshooter. Microsoft documents this route in its Bluetooth disconnection troubleshooting guidance. The cited procedures are general Windows support steps, not Snapdragon X Elite-specific testing.
Check for Bluetooth driver updates
- Run Windows Update and install applicable updates.
- Open Device Manager, locate the Bluetooth adapter, and check for a driver update.
- Restart the PC and test the mouse again.

Use the laptop maker’s Bluetooth driver if the issue persists
If Windows reports that the best driver is already installed but the problem continues, check the support page for the exact laptop model. Microsoft notes that the PC manufacturer may offer a newer driver. Use a Bluetooth package intended for that model rather than unrelated drivers. If the stutter began after a driver update, Device Manager may offer Roll Back Driver; reinstalling the driver is another documented option.
Do not treat a graphics-driver update as a Bluetooth fix. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite graphics-driver announcement concerns graphics drivers; it does not establish a Bluetooth mouse remedy.

Test whether the mouse or PC is responsible
Try the mouse with another PC, or try another mouse with the Snapdragon X Elite PC. Microsoft recommends testing a mouse on another PC as part of its mouse and keyboard troubleshooting guidance. If the original mouse works normally elsewhere, that points toward the original PC or its Bluetooth environment; if another mouse also stutters on this PC, the PC-side connection deserves closer attention.

A wireless mouse with a USB receiver provides a different connection path and can bypass Bluetooth. It does not repair Bluetooth itself. Before choosing one, check that the PC has a suitable USB port or that you have an appropriate adapter, confirm the mouse’s Windows on ARM compatibility, and account for its battery or charging requirements.
