To source copper or aluminum strip from China, define the material standard, temper, dimensions, processing, inspection, packaging, and acceptance terms in one RFQ. Treat supplier listings as leads—not proof that a particular lot meets your requirements. Confirm the offered material against the governing specification and traceable mill documentation, then approve a sample or trial coil before mass production.
What to verify for each grade
Grade names and cross-references can help identify suppliers, but they do not by themselves establish that two products meet the same requirements. Ask the supplier to state the governing standard and product condition on the quotation, order confirmation, and certificate.
C1100, T2, and C11000 copper
Supplier and manufacturer pages cross-reference C11000, JIS C1100, and GB T2. Treat this as a reported mapping, not an unconditional equivalence across standards, product forms, tempers, or applications. Specify the standard you require and verify the offered chemistry and temper on the order documents and certificate.
Jiangxi Kaian New Materials Group lists copper content greater than 99.90% and conductivity of 98% IACS at 20°C for C11000. These are supplier-published product values, not independently validated here. Before using either as an acceptance limit, confirm the applicable standard, test method, material condition, and lot-specific results.

C2680 brass strip
Supplier materials identify C2680 as a brass strip grade. A supplier comparison table cross-references it with H65/CuZn36; confirm that mapping against the standard required for your part rather than assuming identical specifications. Put the required temper, chemistry, hardness, tensile properties, dimensions, edge condition, and surface requirements in the RFQ.
C7025 copper alloy strip
C7025 appears in supplier product material for copper alloy strip or coil, including a supplier guide describing formed electronic parts as a use case. The available information does not establish authoritative mechanical or electrical limits for a specific offered condition. Request the applicable specification, temper, conductivity and mechanical values, and relevant test reports for your application.

Aluminum strip
A supplier guide promotes copper and aluminum strip processing, but the available supplier material does not establish aluminum alloy designations, product ranges, or independent capability evidence. Name the exact alloy, temper, application, dimensions, and acceptance requirements in your RFQ; do not treat a general aluminum-strip service claim as evidence that a supplier can meet them.

Build an RFQ that can be checked against the delivered coil
Turn each requirement into a measurable quotation or purchase-order field. A broad request for a grade and “custom slitting” leaves important questions about the finished product unresolved.
Material and intended use
- State the exact grade and governing standard; identify the required temper and product condition.
- Describe the application and forming process, such as stamping or bending, and state any required chemistry, hardness, tensile, or conductivity criteria.
- For C1100/T2, identify which standard designation governs the order. For C2680 or C7025, require the supplier to state the precise specification and condition being offered.
Dimensions and processing
- Specify thickness and tolerance, finished slit width and width tolerance, and the required edge or burr condition.
- Define flatness and surface condition, including any coating or other surface requirement.
- Choose coil or cut-strip format. For coils, specify inside and outside diameter, coil weight, winding direction, and core requirements.
- List every required slit width and any limits on edge quality that affect downstream forming or assembly.
Quantity, inspection, and logistics
- State the production quantity and any trial quantity, requested schedule, and delivery destination.
- Define inspection criteria for chemistry, hardness, tensile properties, conductivity, dimensions, and visual condition as applicable. Specify test methods and acceptance limits rather than relying on general assurances.
- Require batch traceability and identify the certificate and supporting test reports to be supplied with the lot.
- Describe packaging: separators, moisture barrier, cartons or pallets, and required labels. State the shipping documents and delivery terms needed for your receiving process.
Qualify the supplier and approve the process before production
- Request a written, specification-matched quotation. Check that it identifies the grade, governing standard, temper, dimensions, tolerances, slit details, inspection criteria, packaging, quantity, schedule, destination, and shipping terms.
- Review traceable material documents. Confirm that certificates identify the material and condition you ordered and can be linked to the supplied batch. A general quality statement does not establish that a specific lot conforms.
- Approve a sample or trial coil. Before mass production, evaluate a sample that matches the specified material, temper, dimensions, and processing. Agree in advance on the sampling method, test methods, and acceptance limits.
- Record commercial and corrective-action terms. Put delivery commitments, packaging, nonconformance notification, claim handling, and replacement or other remedies in writing. Confirm any referral or intermediary arrangement and its commercial terms before relying on it.
- Inspect incoming material against the purchase order. Use suitable incoming checks and retain the documents and identification needed to trace the delivered coil or strips to the approved sample and batch records.

- Coil format, packaging protection, and labeling and traceability practices.

Why consumer copper tape is not a substitute
This is an industrial purchasing requirement for specified grades and custom processing. No faithful retail product was established for C2680, C1100/T2, or C7025 strip with the required slitting and packaging. Craft foil or copper tape does not demonstrate compliance with a strip specification, temper, tolerance, or lot-traceability requirement.
