To solve Release the Curse in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Haunted Floating Festival, collect both Haunted Key Fragments, craft the Repaired Haunted Key, light four Unlit Jack-o’-Lanterns, and complete the Haunted Library sequence. Then activate the bedroom pillars in this order: Spider Web, Cat, Bat, Witch Hat. Pick up the Lost Magic Page and return it to the Grimoire to receive the Decorative Magic Seal.
Collect both Haunted Key Fragments
Follow the Ghostly Dreamlight Fox
Enter the Haunted House on the Haunted Floating Festival island and follow the Ghostly Dreamlight Fox through six locations. The reported route is:
- The back of the hallway, near the locked bedroom.
- The front of the hallway.
- The main entrance room, beside the sparkling book.
- The storage room, entered from the left side of the main room.
- Beside the crafting table in the main room.
- The back-left corner of the storage room, near a red chest.

Find the lantern candles
Use the Royal Pickaxe on the right-hand white lion statue in the hallway to get a Red Festival Key. Use that key to open a red chest containing lantern candles. The walkthrough also reports candles around the storage room and chests. Collect the candles and follow the event prompts to light four Unlit Jack-o’-Lanterns and obtain the second fragment. Craft the Repaired Haunted Key and unlock the bedroom
At the event crafting station, open the Events category and combine the two Haunted Key Fragments to make the Repaired Haunted Key. Use it to light the four lanterns and unlock the bedroom. Complete the Haunted Library sequence
The library task involves retrieving and returning books among the bedroom, front room, hallway, and storage room. Follow the event clues and prompts to move the books to their matching locations. Set the bedroom pillars in the Release the Curse order
Activate the four bedroom pillars in this order:
- I: Spider Web
- II: Cat
- III: Bat
- IV: Witch Hat

Why guides number the puzzles differently
The Haunted Floating Festival event reference labels Release the Curse as puzzle 6 and Haunted Library as puzzle 7. The walkthrough treats the library as a prerequisite within the larger Haunted Key and curse sequence. Thus, “Haunted Key Puzzle #6” may refer to the overall Release the Curse progression, including the library steps, rather than a single isolated interaction.
