To solve Haunted Library Puzzle #7 during Disney Dreamlight Valley’s 2026 Haunted Floating Festival, unlock the Haunted House bedroom through Puzzle 6, then place four spooky books on the shelves that match their subjects. After the last book, complete the Memory Orb’s reorder-story image puzzle to earn the Chomping Chest.
Before you start: unlock the bedroom through Puzzle 6
Travel to the Haunted Floating Festival island using the Plaza portal or the Event tab. The 2026 event is scheduled to run from October 7 through October 31, according to the official event announcement. Puzzle 7 depends on Puzzle 6: continue the Haunted Key steps until the Haunted House bedroom door opens. The first book is beside a bookshelf near the back-left side of that bedroom.
Place the four books on the matching shelves
Each book reveals the next one in the sequence. Follow the subject labels on the shelves and move between the rooms in this order:

- Pick up Boo! The Big Book of Bat Facts in the bedroom and place it on the animal-book shelf in the front room.
- Take Frightening Flowers from the front room to the flower shelf in the hallway.
- Take The Chilling Cosmos from the hallway to the space shelf in the storage room.
- Take Terrifying Tunes from the storage room to the music shelf in the bedroom.

Complete the Memory Orb puzzle
Placing Terrifying Tunes causes a Memory Orb to appear nearby. Interact with it, then rotate and place the pieces to form the finished story image. The walkthrough identifies this as a reorder-story puzzle, but its text does not specify the exact position or rotation of each piece, so there is no verified piece-by-piece layout to give here.

Once the image is assembled, the library puzzle is marked complete and you receive the Chomping Chest furniture item. The official announcement names the chest as Puzzle 7’s reward.
