On most Roku players, sign out from inside the Netflix app: press Back on the Netflix home screen, open Get Help, then select Sign out and Yes. If those options are missing, Netflix provides a remote-button sequence that opens a menu with alternate sign-out or reset choices.
Sign out of Netflix on most Roku players
- Open Netflix on your Roku and go to the Netflix home screen.
- Press Back on the Roku remote to open Netflix’s menu. If the menu appears across the top, move left to the profile icon. If it appears down the left side, check the bottom of the menu.
- Select Get Help, then choose Sign out.
- Choose Yes to confirm.
Netflix’s standard sign-out path is inside the app; you normally do not need to remove the Netflix channel from the Roku Home Menu. [Netflix: Sign out of Netflix]
If Get Help or Sign out is not visible
If Get Help is missing, move up in Netflix’s menu and check Settings. If you still cannot find Get Help, Settings, or Sign out, use this sequence on the Roku remote while Netflix is open:

In the menu that appears, select whichever applicable option is shown: Sign out, Start Over, Reset, or Deactivate. The choices can vary by device or interface. [Netflix sign-out instructions] [Netflix troubleshooting instructions] [Netflix device instructions]

If you are signing out to troubleshoot Netflix
Netflix includes signing out and back in as a step in some Roku error-specific troubleshooting guides. After signing out, sign back in and retry the action that produced the error. Signing out is one troubleshooting step, not a guarantee that every Netflix problem will be fixed. [Netflix troubleshooting instructions]

If the menus still do not match
Netflix does not publish update dates for these instructions on the cited support pages, and app or device updates can change menu labels. Check the displayed options for your Roku model; where the usual sign-out path is unavailable, try the button sequence and choose the available sign-out, restart, reset, or deactivation option.
