The Vivo X500 Pro is officially listed as capable of recording 4K at 120fps in 10-bit Log. To get the best from that footage, confirm Log recording on the phone before an important take, then use the correct Vivo input color space in DaVinci Resolve 21.1 or later before applying a creative look.
What the X500 Pro’s Log mode offers
Vivo describes the profile as “new Vivo LOG,” designed to retain more highlight and shadow detail in high-contrast scenes, and says it supports LUTs for direct output. These are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements. The official product page lists 4K 120fps 10-bit Log recording; it does not publish a complete mode matrix showing which lenses, frame rates, stabilization options, or autofocus settings can be combined with Log. Vivo X500 Pro official product page
Vivo also advertises a 17 EV dynamic range for the Blueprint 900 sensor and its high-dynamic-range technology. That is a manufacturer-stated claim on the 2026 product page, not an independently verified measurement. The page separately describes 4K 240fps slow motion, but does not establish that this mode records in 10-bit Log.

Vivo’s specifications page does not state the exact Log codec settings, bitrate, exposure controls, or lens-specific restrictions, so check the camera app and a test file on your own device rather than assuming every advertised combination is available. Set up and verify a Log recording
- Open the camera app and look for a Log or Professional video option. The cited product pages do not establish the exact menu path or label, which may vary by software version or region.
- Select a resolution and frame rate suitable for the project. Vivo lists 4K 120fps 10-bit Log, but do not assume that every lens or other camera feature works at that setting.
- Before recording an important scene, confirm that the interface indicates Log and 10-bit recording. Record a short test, then inspect the resulting file’s metadata to verify the format and frame rate.
- Keep exposure and white balance consistent across shots, and protect important highlights. Log footage is intended for later tonal and color work, so its ungraded appearance may not look like a finished image. Vivo does not publish X500 Pro-specific ISO, shutter, exposure-index, or monitoring targets; avoid relying on guessed numerical settings.
Vivo’s X500-series announcement mentions 10-bit 4:2:2 APV encoding, ACES support, and official color conversion developed with DaVinci Resolve. Those are series-level statements, not confirmation that every feature applies to every X500 Pro recording mode. Verify the actual clip rather than inferring its encoding from the announcement. Grade Vivo Log in DaVinci Resolve
Blackmagic Design announced on September 8, 2026, that DaVinci Resolve 21.1 supports Vivo Wide Gamut and Log natively. Use Resolve 21.1 or later for that announced support; it does not establish compatibility in older versions. Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve 21.1 announcement

- Perfect Fit for Vivo X500 Pro Max, Precise cutouts, easy access to all buttons, ports and camera.
- Unique Carbon Fiber Texture, Stylish woven carbon fiber pattern, anti-fingerprint and comfortable grip.
- Red Metal Camera Ring Design, Decorative red camera ring, protects camera lens while improving appearance.
- Shockproof Drop Protection, Hard shell structure buffers impact to defend against drops and bumps in daily use.
- Slim & Lightweight, Thin design will not add extra bulk to your Vivo X500 Pro Max.
- Copy and back up the originals. Work from copies on your editing drive and retain an untouched backup.
- Set the project frame rate. Choose the intended delivery frame rate. If you recorded at 120fps for slow motion, decide whether to interpret or conform that footage for a lower-frame-rate timeline.
- Set the clip’s input color space. In Resolve’s color-management or clip input controls, select the Vivo Log/Vivo Wide Gamut input option when it is available for the media. Resolve’s native input handling is the technical conversion; do not add a generic Log-to-Rec.709 LUT as a second conversion on top of the same managed input transform.
- Correct exposure and white balance. Make balancing adjustments before styling. Use the viewer and scopes to assess luminance, chrominance, exposure balance, and consistency between shots.
- Match shots, then create a look. Apply creative contrast, saturation, and any look after the technical input handling. Check the color space and gamma a creative LUT expects before applying it. Avoid stacking a vendor LUT with Resolve’s native conversion unless that LUT’s documented workflow calls for it.
- Choose an output transform and review. Set the output for the intended delivery, such as SDR Rec.709 for standard web delivery, then check the export on the display for which it is intended. The appropriate target depends on the project.
A clear starting node order is input color management → exposure and white-balance correction → shot matching → creative look → output transform. Treat this as a practical organization, not a Vivo-tested preset or required recipe. Resolve documents color-management transforms, LUT application, tone mapping, and scopes as part of its color tools. Blackmagic Design: DaVinci Resolve color tools and color management

What to check when results differ
- No Vivo input option appears: Confirm the Resolve version is 21.1 or later and check that the media is actually identified as Vivo Log. Do not substitute an arbitrary Log profile without confirming what the clip contains.
- The image looks excessively contrasty or washed out: Check whether the input transform is missing or applied twice, and verify that any creative LUT expects the signal it is receiving.
- A lens, frame rate, or stabilization setting is unavailable: The official product pages do not provide a full Log compatibility matrix. Try a short test with the desired combination and verify the recorded file before planning a shoot around it.
- Slow-motion footage plays at an unexpected speed: Check the clip’s frame rate and how it is interpreted on the timeline; capture rate and delivery frame rate are separate decisions.
