For the wired Blackweb models documented in their manuals, setup starts with one step: plug the USB cable into an available computer port and let the operating system detect the keyboard. Lighting, macros, special keys, and driver software vary by model, so confirm your model number before you install anything or try key combinations.
Find your model number first
Blackweb has sold several different gaming keyboards, and the setup steps are not interchangeable. Look for the model number on the label on the underside or back of the keyboard, or on the packaging or paperwork. The models covered by the manuals and listings used for this guide are:
- BWA17HO004: a configurable gaming keyboard with five programmable G-keys and its own Windows configuration software.
- BWA19H0009: the Blackweb gaming starter set, described by its manual and by a retailer listing.
- Wired RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (Rich Black): a Walmart Canada listing; the listing does not state a model number.
Be careful with search results. A Reddit post asks about a driver for a “BWA18HO004” keyboard, a number one character away from the BWA17HO004 manual. Check the printed label before following any driver instructions, because a wrong model number leads to the wrong steps.

Basic setup for wired models
These steps apply to the documented wired models. Once the keyboard is detected, you can type normally before any software is involved.

- Connect the keyboard’s USB connector to an available USB port on your computer. A port directly on the computer is preferable to a hub.
- Wait while the computer detects and installs the keyboard. The BWA17HO004 manual describes this detection as automatic.
- Open a text editor or document and press keys to confirm the keyboard responds.
- If you have a BWA17HO004 and want the G-keys, lighting, or macros, continue to the model-specific steps below. Other models follow their own sections.
The BWA17HO004 product guide says: “When the installation completes, the keyboard is ready to use.” That is the manual’s statement, not an independent test.

Installing the BWA17HO004 configuration software
The BWA17HO004 manual describes a driver installation from a CD-ROM. Its stated requirements are:

Those operating systems are long past Microsoft support; Windows 10 reached end of support on October 14, 2025. Treat these requirements as a record of the original product, not as proof that the software runs on a current PC. A current download for this model has not been confirmed, so do not install driver files from unofficial sites.
- Insert the CD-ROM and run
Setup.exefrom the disc. - Complete the installation wizard.
- Restart the computer.
- Right-click the Blackweb icon in the taskbar to open keyboard configuration.
Once configuration opens, the manual describes five saved profiles, five programmable G-keys with three macros each, and lighting through basic effects or a Chroma configurator. The manual directs users to Walmart for software updates, but a current update has not been confirmed.

BWA19H0009 starter set
The starter-set manual says to connect the keyboard’s USB cable to an available port, and that the keyboard should be recognized automatically. The Walmart Canada listing describes five customizable G-keys, two adjustable LED options, onboard memory, and no software required. Those specifications come from the listing, not the manual, and they do not apply to other Blackweb models.
Wired RGB mechanical keyboard
The Walmart Canada listing describes USB plug-and-play, programmable RGB lighting, and macro software. It states basic compatibility with Windows and Mac, and says the software features are Windows-only. On a Mac, use the keyboard for basic typing; RGB and macro features require Windows. This Mac statement applies to this listing only and cannot be carried over to the BWA17HO004.

Troubleshooting
- The keyboard is not detected: unplug the cable, reconnect it to a different port directly on the computer, and check the cable for damage. If you have another computer, test the keyboard there to tell a cable or keyboard fault from a port problem.
- The keyboard types, but the G-keys or lighting do nothing: confirm the model number. BWA17HO004 features need its configuration software; the starter set uses its two LED options without software; the RGB keyboard’s macro and RGB features need Windows software.
- The BWA17HO004 driver step does not work on your PC: the manual’s setup assumes a CD-ROM drive and an operating system no longer supported. Without a CD-ROM drive, no alternative download has been confirmed. Contact the seller or Blackweb support for your model before trying other files.
- Your model label reads BWA18HO004: do not follow the BWA17HO004 steps. Find the manual or listing for the number printed on your keyboard.
Availability
Walmart Canada listings for these keyboards showed out of stock when reviewed. A July 2020 Linus Tech Tips forum thread references an Amazon product page for the BWA17HO004, but that reference is old and does not indicate current stock. Check availability before buying, and confirm that the model number on the box matches the one in this guide.
