To set up a Razer BlackShark V3 Pro, first identify whether you have the standard, PlayStation, or Xbox edition, then choose a connection mode supported by your device. The key exception is the Xbox edition’s wireless dongle: set its switch to XBOX for an Xbox console and to USB for PC or PlayStation. The headset family supports 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, USB wired, and 3.5 mm wired connections, but console steps and available controls differ by edition.

Before connecting: identify your BlackShark V3 Pro edition

Razer maintains separate support pages for the BlackShark V3 Pro, the BlackShark V3 Pro for PlayStation, and the BlackShark V3 Pro for Xbox. Check the product name and documentation for your headset before following a platform-specific setup. In particular, do not assume every edition uses the Xbox dongle switch or exposes the same configurable controls.

The Xbox edition includes a HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 dongle with two positions. Razer specifies XBOX for an Xbox console and USB for PC or PlayStation. Its Xbox product instructions also say to plug the dongle’s USB-A side into the console when using XBOX mode.

How do I connect the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro to my PC?

Choose a connection based on your setup: use the 2.4 GHz USB dongle for wireless, Bluetooth for a Bluetooth connection, or a USB or 3.5 mm cable for wired use. Razer lists these modes across the product family. For the Xbox edition, move the dongle switch to USB before connecting it to the PC.
