For the best results with the Anker Nebula P1, set the image size and projector position first, then focus and correct the frame, choose a picture mode for the room, and tune the sound for what you’re watching. The P1 is rated at 650 ANSI lumens, so controlling ambient light matters: Movies is Nebula’s suggested picture mode for dark or low-light viewing, while Standard is aimed at everyday programming in brighter rooms.
1. Choose your screen surface and image size
A flat, light-colored wall can work; a dedicated screen is optional. Decide how large you want the picture to be, then allow the corresponding distance between the projector and the surface. Nebula’s listed examples are:
| Image size | Distance from surface |
|---|---|
| 60 inches | 1.59 m / 5.22 ft |
| 80 inches | 2.13 m / 6.99 ft |
| 100 inches | 2.66 m / 8.73 ft |
| 120 inches | 3.19 m / 10.47 ft |
These are manufacturer-recommended examples; the P1’s listed throw ratio is 1.2:1. A larger image needs more room depth, so choose a size that fits the space rather than trying to maximize the picture at the expense of placement.

2. Position and aim the projector
Place the P1 on a stable surface and aim it as squarely at the projection surface as your room allows. Its gimbal can tilt up to 130°, according to Nebula, but the projected image does not automatically stabilize if the projector itself moves or shakes. Aiming carefully before using digital correction helps avoid unnecessarily distorted framing.

3. Focus and correct the image
Let automatic focus and image setup run after positioning. Check that the picture is sharp and fits the surface; use VisionFit screen fit, obstacle avoidance, or positioning and resizing tools if needed. Nebula provides separate tutorials for focusing, VisionFit screen fit and obstacle avoidance, and positioning and resizing.

6. Plan power separately for outdoor viewing
The P1 has no built-in battery. For outdoor use, soundcore recommends the SOLIX C300 and estimates approximately 3.5–3.7 hours with all features in use. That is a manufacturer estimate, not an independently tested runtime; actual duration may depend on use and conditions. See the Nebula P1 product page for the power recommendation.
