In manual mode, add a native contact form from the left-side Add element panel or insert a Contact form section. Select the form and choose Edit form to configure its fields, notification address, submit button, confirmation behavior, and appearance. To review responses, open Form submissions from the editor’s More menu.
Add a contact form to a page
There are two ways to add a native form in manual mode. Use the element route to place a form where you want it within an existing page, or use a section template to add a larger prearranged block.
- To place an element, open Add element on the left and drag Contact form onto the page.
- Alternatively, click Add section at a section boundary, choose Contact form, and select a template.
- Select the form and open Edit form to configure it. The editor also offers object-level actions such as duplicating, changing visibility, deleting, and resizing.
The control labels are from the manual-mode contact-form guide; interface details may change over time.

Name and notification address
In General, give the form a descriptive name and set the email address for new-submission notifications. Naming forms clearly is useful when a site has more than one, because the submissions area lists forms by name. A visitor submission triggers a notification to the email address linked to the account; the guide does not establish delivery guarantees.

Choose fields and required answers
In Fields, add only the information needed to handle the inquiry. The available field types are:
- Short answer
- Paragraph
- Single choice
- Multiple choice
You can add, edit, sort, or remove fields and mark fields as required. Make a field required only when you need that answer to respond; unnecessary required questions can make a form harder to complete.

Set the button and post-submit behavior
In Button, choose the submit-button text and alignment. Then configure whether a successful submission displays a thank-you message or redirects visitors to a page on the same site.

Use Style to customize the button, fields, and form background. The form’s styling controls are separate from its fields and submission behavior.

Find, export, or delete submissions
- In the editor, open the left-side More or ellipsis menu.
- Choose Form submissions.
- Find the relevant form and select View to see its responses.
- Select the entries you want to export and export them as a CSV file, or select unnecessary entries to delete them.
This area is used to manage contact and subscription form entries in the manual-mode overview. Export only the entries you need and handle the resulting file according to your privacy and retention practices.
Native form or embedded third-party form?
A native form is the straightforward choice when its documented field types, required-field controls, basic styling, and thank-you or same-site redirect meet your needs. An embedded service may suit a workflow that needs additional features, but it introduces a separate service and response-management path.

The contact-form guide describes customizing a widget template, saving it, copying its integration code, and adding that code through the embed-code element. The elements guide explains that the embed-code element supports third-party widgets. Choose this route only when the additional capabilities justify managing responses outside the builder; the example is not the only possible platform.

Connect submissions to optional email automation
For automated email follow-up, a manual-mode site can be connected to an email automation service. An active plan is required for automations. After connection, past submissions sync, and future submissions sync automatically. You can keep forms separate or connect multiple forms together, depending on whether you want to distinguish where contacts came from. This is an optional workflow, not a requirement for adding a form or reviewing entries. See the instructions for form-submission automations.
