To sell a car in Forza Horizon 6, list it in the Auction House: from a house or Festival Site, open Buy & Sell → Auction House → Start Auction, choose an eligible car, then set its starting bid, buyout price, and listing duration. After it sells, collect the credits in My Auctions. The Auction House is described as a player-to-player selling route; the available guides do not describe selling a car directly back to the game for a fixed price.
Unlock the Auction House
AllThingsHow reports that selling requires the Wheeler Dealer Perk associated with Mei’s House. Its guide says to complete the Horizon Invitational Race, earn the first Wristband, buy Mei’s House in the Ohtani district, and activate the perk. This prerequisite is reported by a secondary guide, not confirmed in the official Forza or Xbox pages cited here; check the current in-game prompts if the unlock path differs.

List a car for auction
- Go to a player house or Festival Site.
- Open Buy & Sell, choose Auction House, then select Start Auction.
- Choose the car you want to list from your owned vehicles.
- Enter a starting price, a buyout price, and a duration, then confirm the listing. These menu labels and steps are reported by Dot Esports and AllThingsHow; menu wording may change with an update.
Choose your auction terms
The starting price is the minimum bid. The buyout price lets a buyer end the auction immediately by paying that amount. Dot Esports reports listing durations from one hour to 24 hours.
- Starting bid: Choose the lowest bid you are willing to accept.
- Buyout: Set the price at which a buyer can purchase the car without waiting for bidding to finish.
- Duration: Decide how long the listing remains open, within the one-to-24-hour range reported by Dot Esports.
A lower buyout may make a listing more attractive to buyers seeking an immediate purchase, but the cited guide provides no verified pricing formula, current market prices, or evidence that a particular setting guarantees a sale.

Check which cars can be listed
Dot Esports says Barn Finds, Loyalty Reward cars, and Treasure Cars cannot be auctioned. It also reports that DLC cars can be purchased only by players who own the relevant DLC, which may reduce the number of potential buyers. These eligibility details are from a secondary guide rather than first-party documentation.
Claim credits and handle an unsold listing
When the auction ends, check My Auctions and claim the proceeds. Dot Esports reports that unclaimed earnings expire after 60 days and that the game applies an approximately 15% fee to a sale. Treat both figures as guide-reported mechanics; the official pages cited here do not confirm them.
