If your Samsung Galaxy is connected to the Wi-Fi network, you can open Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi, tap the gear beside the network, and choose QR code so another device can join. That shares access; Samsung’s instructions do not establish that this screen shows the saved password as readable text.
Share a connected Wi-Fi network with a QR code
The QR method is useful when someone needs to connect and does not need to read or write down the password. Samsung’s instructions require your Galaxy to be connected to the network first.

Open Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.

Tap QR code. The label or its location may differ by model and software.

Ask the other person to scan the code with a compatible device and follow its prompt to join.
Samsung describes this as a way for the recipient to connect, not as a universal way to display the saved password in plain text. See Samsung’s Galaxy Wi-Fi sharing instructions and its instructions for sharing without typing the password.

Can you view the saved Wi-Fi password as text?
The official Samsung support instructions cited here explain how to generate a QR code so another device can connect; they do not confirm that the standard QR-code screen reveals the password as readable text on every Galaxy phone. If you specifically need the text and your phone does not show it, check the router label or ask the network administrator or internet provider for it. For device-specific options, consult Samsung support for your exact model and software.
Use a password request if your Galaxy offers it
Some models document another route: the Galaxy Z Fold6 European user manual describes a Request password option when selecting a secured Wi-Fi network. It is a model-specific feature, not a menu item to expect on every Samsung phone.

On the requesting device, select the secured network and tap Request password, if that option is available.

The requester and the Galaxy already connected to the network must have each other in their contacts.

The connected Galaxy’s screen must be on, and its user must accept the request.

After acceptance, the requesting device enters the password and connects.

Your Galaxy is not connected: Connect to the target network first; Samsung’s documented QR-sharing steps begin from a connected network.

You cannot find QR code: Menu wording and layout vary with model, software version, and carrier. Check the Wi-Fi settings and the support page for your precise Galaxy model. Samsung’s Wi-Fi connection guidance notes that screens and settings can vary.

The recipient cannot scan or join: The recipient needs a compatible device and software. Older software may not support joining through a Wi-Fi QR code, and network restrictions or router security settings can prevent connection, according to Samsung Gulf.

You are trying to share mobile data: Wi-Fi sharing is different from enabling a mobile hotspot. The QR steps above share access to a Wi-Fi network, not your phone’s cellular data.
