Spoilers for Anca’s personal questline and a late-game conversation. To romance Anca, follow her personal quests through Stronger Than Achilles, complete the Font of Life sequence, then return to the inn and finish the conversation with her. The opportunity comes after the Font sequence; early flirt options can add warmth, but the available guides do not establish them as mandatory. Dialogue can vary based on earlier choices, so choose the invitation shown in your game.
Follow Anca’s questline to Stronger Than Achilles
Keep Anca available and advance her personal quests as they appear in your journal. The route runs through these quests:
- Withering Away / Page-Turner: Anca is introduced as Coen seeks medicine for his mother. PC Gamer’s guide describes Page-Turner as an early chance to spend time with Anca and flirt.
- Echoes of Silenced Bells: Complete the quest and continue with Anca’s active journal entries. PC Gamer does not identify the quest’s final choice as a romance blocker.
- Between the Words: Continue her route. The tea and book conversations include optional warm or flirtatious responses.
- Where Old Devils Lie: Continue the personal quest and take the relationship dialogue if you want to express care.
- Stronger Than Achilles: Complete the quest through the Font of Life sequence. The romance conversation follows afterward.
The early affectionate responses are opportunities, not a fixed checklist: PC Gamer notes that not every dialogue option it lists is required for the eventual romance.
Finish the romance conversation at the inn
After the Font of Life sequence, return to the inn and speak with Anca until the conversation is complete. PowerPyx’s walkthrough lists these responses for the romance exchange:

- “Screw decency. I want you, too.”
Those lines are a commonly listed sequence, not a guaranteed script for every playthrough. The Dawnwalker Wiki’s Anca reference says earlier choices can change the exchange. Select the invitation or response that appears in your current conversation rather than waiting for exact wording from a guide.
Choices and saves that can prevent confusion
- Do not skip the quest chain: Follow Anca’s active journal entries until Stronger Than Achilles; the route culminates there.
- Separate the Font decision from the romance: The Font of Life decision and the later inn response are separate moments. The romance conversation takes place afterward.
- Save before major conversations: The unofficial route reference recommends saving before the Font sequence and before the final inn conversation if you want the option to revisit those decisions.
- Treat early flirting as optional: Warm choices can shape scenes, but the available guide does not say every early flirt or confession is required.
Most Precious Thing is listed by PowerPyx and the wiki as a connected optional quest, rather than a required step in the core romance sequence.

What to know about the route information
The route guidance comes from post-release walkthroughs and an unofficial reference, not official patch notes. Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz had confirmed romance options in a May 15, 2026 Game Informer interview, saying: “You will see it after we release the game, but there will be some romance options that you can do.” The route sources reviewed for this guide do not provide an Anca romance success rate or establish one.
