There is no single switch for all app access to your Apple Account. Use Sign in with Apple settings to remove an app’s sign-in link; use Account Data Sharing or App-Specific Passwords to revoke access to iCloud data; and use device Settings to change permissions such as Photos or Location. These controls have different effects, so start with the kind of access you want to remove.
Find and remove apps using Sign in with Apple
To see which apps or websites use Sign in with Apple, open the Apple Account control on your device or on the web:
- iPhone or iPad: Settings > [your name] > Sign in with Apple.
- Mac: Apple menu > System Settings > [your name] > Sign in with Apple.
- Web: Sign in at account.apple.com, then open Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple.
Select the app or developer, choose Delete, and confirm. Apple says this stops using Sign in with Apple for that app and signs you out of it on the device. The third-party account itself is not thereby deleted. To delete that account or manage data held by the service, use the app or the developer’s website.
Check the developer name as well as the app name before confirming: a developer may use one Sign in with Apple relationship across several of its apps, so the change may affect more than one app. If you later want to use the same third-party account, you can sign in with Apple again; some apps may instead offer a new password for the existing account, or let you create a new account. Apple’s Sign in with Apple guide describes these options.

Revoke access to iCloud Mail, Calendar, or Contacts
Some supported third-party apps receive authorization to access iCloud Mail, Calendar, or Contacts. This is Account Data Sharing, not the Sign in with Apple connection list.
- Sign in at account.apple.com.
- Choose Sign-In and Security, then Account Data Sharing.
- Select the app and choose Remove access.
After access is removed, the app cannot access that data unless you authorize it again. If you previously used an app-specific password for the app before switching to this supported authorization method, Apple advises revoking the old password too. See Apple’s instructions for third-party access to iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts.

Remove an app-specific password
An app-specific password is a separate credential used by some third-party apps to access Apple Account data. Two-factor authentication is required to generate one. To revoke a password:
Recommended Free Tools
- Sign in at account.apple.com.
- Open Sign-In and Security > App-Specific Passwords.
- Remove the password for the app, or choose Revoke All if you want to invalidate every app-specific password.
Apps using a revoked password are signed out until you generate and enter a new app-specific password. Changing or resetting your primary Apple Account password automatically revokes all app-specific passwords. Apple explains the steps in its app-specific password guide.

Change an app’s access to device features
If your concern is an app using information or hardware on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Vision Pro, review the device’s privacy permissions—not the Apple Account sign-in list. In the device’s Settings, find the privacy or security controls for categories such as Photos, Contacts, Calendar, Camera, Microphone, Reminders, and Location, then change the app’s permission. Exact labels and paths vary by device and software version. Apple’s Security Guide describes these permission categories.
Changing a device permission limits the app’s access to that device feature or data; it does not necessarily revoke a third-party account connection or erase information the service already holds. For account settings or data stored by a third party, Apple’s Personal Safety guide says to check the app or developer website.

Stop Hide My Email forwarding separately
If you used Hide My Email with an app, you can turn off forwarding so messages sent to that address no longer reach your personal inbox. Apple lists this separately from stopping Sign in with Apple: turning off forwarding does not remove the app’s sign-in link. On iPhone, look under your name and Sign-In & Security for Hide My Email; the exact path and labels can vary by software version. See Apple’s iPhone guide to Sign in with Apple.

Apple also has a separate Connected Accounts control for supported third-party apps linked through Automatic Sign-in. Apple’s instructions require iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later on iPhone and iPad, or tvOS 26 or later on Apple TV; availability depends on whether the app supports the feature.

Quick Recap
Choose the control that matches the access
| Access you want to change | Where to manage it | What revoking or changing it does |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in with Apple identity link | Apple Account settings on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or account.apple.com | Stops using Sign in with Apple for the app and signs you out on the device; it does not delete the third-party account. |
| iCloud Mail, Calendar, or Contacts authorization | account.apple.com > Sign-In and Security > Account Data Sharing | Blocks the app from accessing that data until you authorize it again. |
| App-specific password | account.apple.com > Sign-In and Security > App-Specific Passwords | Invalidates the credential; affected apps are signed out until given a new one. |
| Device feature or data permission | Privacy or security settings on the device | Changes the app’s access to that device category; account-level connections and service-held data are separate. |
| Hide My Email forwarding | Hide My Email settings | Stops forwarding messages to your personal inbox; does not remove the sign-in link. |
| Automatic Sign-in Connected Account | Connected Accounts settings, where supported | Disconnects the account link but does not automatically sign you out of the third-party app. |
