On iPhone, first check Chrome’s Inactive Tabs; if you just closed all inactive tabs, use the Undo prompt. On iPad, Chrome also has a command-menu item labeled “Reopen Last Closed Tab.” If the tab is no longer available through those routes, look for its page in recent tabs or History—but reopening a page is not guaranteed to restore its previous tab state.
Reopen a tab in Chrome on iPhone

Open Chrome and tap Switch Tabs at the bottom of the screen.

Choose Inactive Tabs. If the tab was moved out of your active tabs, find it in the list and tap it to open. Inactive tabs are sorted from newest to oldest; this section appears only when there are inactive tabs.

If you just chose Close all inactive and confirmed Close all, tap Undo at the bottom left while that prompt is available.

If the tab is not there, look for the page under recent tabs or in Chrome History, then open it again. This finds the page, but does not necessarily restore the closed tab’s previous state.
Reopen a tab in Chrome on iPad
Check the tab strip and inactive tabs
First check the visible tab strip and Chrome’s Tab Switcher; the tab may still be open in another visible tab or window. In the Tab Switcher, check Inactive Tabs and tap the page if it is listed. Inactive tabs remain available there rather than being closed.

Look for “Reopen Last Closed Tab”
Chromium’s iOS interface strings document an iPad Chrome command-menu item called “Reopen Last Closed Tab.” Look for that item in Chrome’s command menu. The available documentation confirms the label, but not the exact steps for opening the menu or a keyboard shortcut, so those details may vary by interface.

Find the page in recent tabs or History
If the tab is not available in the tab strip, inactive tabs, or command menu, check recent tabs or Chrome History and open the page again. This is a way to find the URL, not a confirmed way to recover the exact previous tab session.

If the closed tab belonged to a group
Open the tab grid and select the group name under Tab Groups to open or reopen that group. Google says tab-group changes sync across devices using the same Google Account; this applies to groups and should not be treated as a promise that individual closed tabs sync or can be recovered.
