To remove a Doro flip phone’s battery, first switch the phone off and unplug its charger, then open the back cover and take out the battery as the manual for your exact model directs. Doro phones do not all use the same cover-release method, so the Doro 7080 instructions below are an example—not a universal opening procedure.
1. Find your Doro model and its manual
Check the phone’s model number, then find that model’s manual using Doro’s support page. Follow the manual’s instructions if its cover-release method differs from the 7080 example below. If you cannot identify the model or the cover does not release as expected, stop rather than forcing it and consult Doro support.
2. Turn off and unplug the phone
Switch the phone off and disconnect the charger before removing the battery cover. Doro gives this instruction in its Doro 7080 User Manual, version 3.0.

Use the cover-opening directions for your exact model. In the 7080 manual, Doro cautions users to protect their fingernails and avoid bending or twisting the cover excessively, as this can damage it. Apply those cautions to the 7080 procedure; do not assume the 7080 cover releases the same way on other Doro phones. If the cover resists, check the matching manual instead of prying or forcing it.

4. Take out the battery
Once the cover is off, locate the battery compartment. Remove the battery using the method specified in your model’s manual. For the Doro 7080, the manual describes installing the battery by sliding it into the compartment before replacing the back cover; the SIM and memory card holders are also inside that compartment. Follow the manual’s directions to remove the battery rather than assuming the same grip or removal motion applies to every model.
5. Put the battery back in for troubleshooting
If you are reseating the battery because the phone is not working correctly, Doro’s support guidance is to remove the removable battery, wait a few minutes, put it back in, and start the phone. Use the matching manual when reinstalling the battery and cover.

Choosing a replacement battery
Before ordering, match the battery designation to the exact phone model. Doro says the designation is printed on the original battery’s label and recommends using the supplied battery. Its FAQ lists DBX-1350A or DBX-1350B for the Doro 7030 and 7080, and DBAA-1000A for the Doro 5860, 6820, 6880, 1880, 2820, 2880 and 7000H. These examples are model-specific; do not assume a designation fits an unlisted model. Contact Doro if you are unsure.
