To bring back available classic Mobvoi faces, install the official Mobvoi watchfaces app from Google Play on a compatible TicWatch running Wear OS 3 or later. It offers some preloaded faces, but Mobvoi does not promise that every face removed from older firmware is included. Use an APK only if Google Play cannot install the app and you are comfortable with sideloading.
Why did Mobvoi watchfaces disappear?
The disappearance was not necessarily caused by the initial move from Wear OS 2 alone. Mobvoi’s upgrade history describes a later Wear OS 3-family update that removed obsolete stock watchfaces and some low-use apps to improve system fluency and free storage. Reinstalling a watchface app cannot restore unrelated system components that the firmware removed. See Mobvoi’s upgrade history for its description of the changes.
Mobvoi’s Wear OS 3 guidance names the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS, TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, TicWatch Pro 3 LTE, and TicWatch E3. The exact model and firmware matter: a face available on one edition may not appear on another. For transition and pairing details, see Mobvoi’s Wear OS 3 update guidance.
Install the official Mobvoi watchfaces app
The supported first choice is Mobvoi watchfaces on Google Play. The listing identifies Mobvoi Information Technology Company Limited as the developer and describes the app as offering TicWatch preloaded and classic watchfaces for Wear OS 3 and above.

Google Play handles the compatible watch installation and future app updates. Its general guidance covers installing apps and watchfaces on Wear OS devices: Install apps on your watch.
Install from a phone or computer
- Open the Mobvoi watchfaces Google Play listing and sign in with the Google account associated with your TicWatch.
- Select Install, then open the device selector beside the button and choose the watch. The selector’s wording and availability can vary with Google Play’s interface, account, and region.
- Confirm the installation. Keep the watch online through Wi-Fi or its phone connection while Play delivers the app.
- On the watch, open Play Store and check that Mobvoi watchfaces has installed.
Install from the watch
- Open Play Store on the TicWatch.
- Search for Mobvoi watchfaces.
- Open the listing published by Mobvoi Information Technology Company Limited and choose Install if Play offers it for that watch.
Choose a restored face
After installation, long-press the current watchface, swipe through the available faces, and tap the one you want. The exact gesture can differ by model; Google’s watchface instructions describe the general selection workflow.

The Mobvoi app exposes some classic or preloaded faces; it is not a guarantee that every face bundled with Wear OS 2 will return. Its public listing does not provide a complete inventory mapped to each TicWatch model. Google also notes that some older faces may no longer be installable, restorable, or updateable under current compatibility requirements (Wear OS watchface availability; changes to available watchfaces). Reports naming individual missing faces, such as Rainbow, are user experiences rather than an official catalog or model-by-model guarantee.

Work through these checks before trying an APK:
- Confirm the TicWatch is paired with the same Google account used to open Play.
- Make sure the watch is online and can open Google Play Store directly.
- Check the watch’s Wear OS version and exact model; Play availability can vary by compatibility, region, and account.
- Restart both the watch and phone, then check the Play listing again.
- If the watch was upgraded to Wear OS 3, complete pairing through Mobvoi Health rather than relying on the old Wear OS companion app. Mobvoi’s update guidance describes the companion-app transition; its TicWatch user guide also identifies Mobvoi Health for supported Wear OS 3 watches.
- If Play appears to report an incorrect incompatibility, clear Play Store cache or data on the relevant device, reopen the listing, and try again. Menu names vary by software version.
- Check available watch storage. Do not factory-reset solely to recover a face.
If a post-update pairing loop prevents normal setup, follow Mobvoi’s transition guidance to remove stale pairing and legacy companion-app data before retrying Mobvoi Health. A Wear OS 3 update or reset can erase watch data; synchronize or back up important information first. Mobvoi warns that the update’s factory reset cannot be undone in its update guidance.

Advanced fallback: sideload an APK
If Play will not offer the app, a technically experienced user may try an APK from a third-party archive. APKMirror lists a Mobvoi-attributed, Mobvoi-signed version, 1.7.1-786.102, uploaded September 28, 2024. That date and version describe the archive listing, not a guarantee that it is current or compatible with your watch. Start at the APKMirror Mobvoi watchfaces archive; its version page and download page provide the archive details.
This is not an official Mobvoi support procedure. Verify the package name, publisher signature, and file before installation; avoid modified or repackaged APKs. A phone APK is not necessarily a watch APK, and a successful install does not prove that a particular face is included. Sideloading can also cause compatibility, update, or security problems.

General wireless ADB workflow
Menu labels vary between TicWatch firmware versions. These steps describe a general Wear OS sideload route, not an official Mobvoi procedure. AndroidSage documents similar wireless-debugging workflows for other Wear OS faces (Galaxy Watch faces; Pixel Watch faces).

- Open Settings → Developer options, then enable ADB debugging and, if available, Wireless debugging or Debug over Wi-Fi.
- Connect the watch and phone to the same Wi-Fi network. Use a Wear OS-compatible ADB or installer utility, pair through the watch’s wireless-debugging prompt if required, and connect using the displayed address.
- Select the verified watch-compatible APK in the utility and install it.
- Reboot the watch if needed, then check the watchface picker.
ADB may fail if the devices are on different networks, wireless debugging is unavailable, or the APK conflicts with the watch’s architecture, minimum software requirements, or an existing package signature. The app may install without exposing the face, or a face may behave incorrectly.
If an installation fails
- If a sideloaded app crashes or creates duplicate entries, uninstall that package and reboot.
- When Google Play offers a compatible version, reinstall from Play to return to the normal update path.
- Check storage and confirm the exact model and software version before repeating an install.
- A factory reset removes sideloaded apps and is a last resort, not a watchface recovery method.
For a particular face that remains unavailable, the practical limit may be the app’s current catalog or Wear OS compatibility rather than a failed installation. Neither the Mobvoi listing nor the cited guidance establishes that every removed face can be recovered.
