The SiteLock dashboard brings together your covered websites, scan results, security status, settings, and account messages. What you see—and how you reach it—can vary depending on whether you bought SiteLock directly or through a hosting provider. Use the site’s report and scan details to understand a status label before choosing a response.
How to open the SiteLock dashboard
Your sign-in route depends on where you purchased the service. Customers who bought directly from SiteLock can sign in through the SiteLock login. If SiteLock came with or was purchased through a hosting provider, sign in to that provider’s account and look for its SiteLock or website-security area. Providers do not use one standardized menu location, so the exact path can differ.
The title-specific overview published by Bluehost describes its version of the interface, while SiteLock’s support pages document navigation and scan behavior. Their descriptions do not establish that every customer has the same layout or sees every feature. Bluehost’s page, updated September 14, 2026, discusses Site Health Metrics and says Risk Score may be deprecated in favor of those metrics; treat that as a qualified description of the provider’s interface, not confirmation of a universal change. What the main dashboard areas show
Overview
The Overview summarizes enrolled websites and their health states, and highlights sites that need customer action. Use it as a starting point, then open the specific site to find the report behind a notice or status.
#1 Best Overall
- POWERFUL SECURITY KEY: The Security Key C NFC is the essential physical passkey for protecting your digital life from phishing attacks. It ensures only you can access your accounts.
- WORKS WITH 1000+ ACCOUNTS: Compatible with Google, Microsoft, and Apple. A single Security Key C NFC secures 100 of your favorite accounts, including email, password managers, and more.
- FAST & CONVENIENT LOGIN: Plug in your Security Key C NFC via USB-C and tap it, or tap it against your phone (NFC) to authenticate. No batteries, no internet connection, and no extra fees required.
- TRUSTED PASSKEY TECHNOLOGY: Uses the latest passkey standards (FIDO2/WebAuthn & FIDO U2F) but does not support One-Time Passwords. For complex needs, check out the YubiKey 5 Series.
- BUILT TO LAST: Made from tough, waterproof, and crush-resistant materials. Manufactured in Sweden and programmed in the USA with the highest security standards.
Sites
The Sites area lists covered domains. SiteLock’s navigation guide describes options to search, filter, and sort by domain, configuration, health, and recent scan time. A fully configured product leads to Manage or its security report; a site that needs setup leads to Setup and a setup wizard. The precise labels may depend on the account interface.
Security report and scan results
Open a site’s report and expand the relevant product section to see scan results. The report is more useful than a status label alone: it identifies what was checked and, when applicable, the affected files, software, or URLs.
Site settings
Depending on the account and products enabled, settings can include contact and subscription information, server access, backup and database settings, scan preferences, and firewall or CDN options. SMART File Scan and SMART Database Scan preferences may determine whether detected material is removed automatically or reported in warn-only mode. Check the site’s actual configuration rather than assuming a default.

Users and messages
SiteLock describes Owners as having access to the full dashboard, including account and billing options. Account Viewers have a more limited view covering Overview, Sites, and Messages. Messages can be viewed for a selected site or from the account-level menu, where domain filters help narrow the list.
What the SiteLock health labels mean
SiteLock’s dashboard guide uses five labels. They describe SiteLock’s scan or configuration context; they are not an independent security certification.
- Unavailable: No scans may have been started, or there may be no active subscription.
- Healthy: The scan context described by SiteLock found no issues.
- At Risk: Associated with lower-severity vulnerabilities or malware.
- Impaired: Associated with moderate threats.
- Compromised: Associated with significant breaches.
When a label is not Healthy, open the site’s report, identify the scan and affected asset, and read the recommended mitigation details. A label alone does not tell you which file, software component, or page needs attention.

How to read the four documented scan types
SiteLock’s support center documents four scan types. They inspect different parts of a site, so a result from one should not be treated as a substitute for another. SiteLock support center

SMART Database Scan
This scan checks database tables for known malware and spam. SiteLock documents it as an on-demand scan: start it with Scan Now. The configured preference determines whether discovered material is removed or reported. Review that setting and the finding details before deciding what to do.
SMART File Scan
SiteLock describes SMART File Scan as a daily scan of files in the website directory, with automatic malware removal. Results can include how many files were scanned, how many changed, and how many malicious or suspicious items were detected. A changed-file count does not by itself prove an attack: the support guidance notes that CMS background updates can change files without the site owner manually editing them.

Vulnerability Scan
This scan checks a CMS and its plugins, themes, or extensions for reported vulnerabilities. Findings may identify platform vulnerabilities, SQL injection, or cross-site scripting, along with affected software or URLs and mitigation guidance. Use the affected-component details to determine what needs updating or other remediation.
Webpage Scan
This scan crawls live pages for malware indicators, using SiteLock’s internal database and external databases named in its guidance. Results may show flagged URLs, malware type and severity, and a sample. Do not copy or paste a potentially malicious sample; SiteLock recommends contacting support for mitigation.
How to act on a notice or finding
- Open the affected site. Use Sites to find the domain, then select its report or setup path.
- Identify the source of the notice. Check which product or scan produced it and when the scan ran.
- Read the affected-asset details. Determine whether the finding points to a database entry, file, software component, or live-page URL.
- Check the relevant setting. For SMART file or database findings, confirm whether the site is configured to remove detected material automatically or report it in warn-only mode.
- Follow the report’s mitigation guidance. For a potentially malicious Webpage Scan sample, avoid copying it and contact SiteLock support for help.
Why your interface may look different
SiteLock’s navigation instructions and provider-hosted dashboard descriptions cover different contexts. Hosting-provider access routes vary, and available products, account roles, and feature visibility can affect what appears. The Bluehost overview describes Site Health Metrics, scan summaries, Risk Score, and SMART Patch for its presentation; its statement that Risk Score may be deprecated is not evidence that every SiteLock dashboard has already changed.
SiteLock also has an older customer FAQ about a previous redesign. That FAQ says the earlier dashboard had no new features or functionality and focused on user-experience enhancements; it does not establish what changed in the interface described by Bluehost in 2026. SiteLock customer FAQ
