Use a Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium tier list to shortlist Dolls, not to decide your whole roster for you. A ranking only makes sense alongside its update date, server, evaluated modes, and assumptions about duplicates and weapons; your team’s missing role and the encounter’s mechanics matter just as much.

Start by checking what the list actually ranks

Tier lists are editorial evaluations, not an official universal ranking or a guarantee that one Doll is best for every account. Before comparing placements, check the list’s date and scope. For example, Pocket Gamer’s list is for Dolls available on Global and labels itself Version 2.18; it was updated September 16, 2026, and names OTs-14 as its latest addition. Pocket Gamer’s Global tier list is therefore a dated snapshot, not a timeless ranking.

Then check which content the list considers. Loadout.gg says its overall rankings assess PvE value across campaign, bossing, and expansion drills, and its September 1, 2026 update distinguishes broad value from Dolls that excel in a particular role or mode and from situational picks. That scope does not establish a PvP ranking. Loadout.gg’s tier list and Pocket Gamer’s list use stated but different frames, so do not combine them into a single consensus score.

  • Date and version: A newer update may include Dolls or balance changes that an older list does not.
  • Server or region: A Doll may not yet be available on every server covered by a guide.
  • Modes: Campaign, boss fights, drills, and PvP can reward different strengths.
  • Evaluation goal: A broad ranking may favor flexible Dolls, while a role-specific guide may value a specialist for a particular job.
  • Evidence and reasoning: Read the explanation behind a placement; a tier letter alone does not show what situations it assumes.

Check whether the investment assumptions fit your account

A recommendation can depend on how much a Doll has been developed. Prydwen’s systems guide describes Fortification as duplicate-based skill enhancement and uses V0–V6 notation. Loadout.gg says some duplicate and weapon investment is assumed in its evaluations. A high placement under those conditions may not describe the same Doll at a base copy with a different weapon.

#1 Best Overall
Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium - Vector (Molotov Bunny Ver.) 1:7 Scale Statue
  • A Kotobukiya Japanese import
  • From Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium comes a scale figure of Vector in her bunny outfit
  • Enjoy the intricate details of her submachine gun, knives, pouches, bunny outfit, and the various textures seen throughout the figure
  • A bunny-ear headband not seen in-game is included to further enhance her bunny silhouette
  • Measures approximately 10.6" tall

When a guide uses a notation such as V0–V6, check what that guide means by each level and whether its ranking assumes a particular level. Do not treat an investment-heavy placement as a direct prediction of how the character will perform on your account. Prydwen’s characters-and-progression guide was last updated November 30, 2024, so use it for the systems it documents while recognizing that it may not reflect later changes. Read Prydwen’s guide to characters and progression.

Translate the tier label into a team job

Instead of asking only whether a Doll is S-tier or A-tier, ask what your squad needs. Prydwen’s guide describes four classes: Bulwark for frontline durability, Sentinel for damage, Vanguard for mobile scouting and sub-DPS, and Support for healing or buffs. Use those roles as a starting point, then check the individual Doll’s skills and the team’s existing coverage.

Rank #2
Kotobukiya Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium Springfield (Queen in Radiance Ver.) 1:7 Scale PVC Statue
  • A Kotobukiya Japanese import
  • From Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium comes a figure of Springfield
  • Her pose is the definition of grace and elegance—as if she's waltzing right out of a ballroom.
  • The vivid blue dress is finished with sharply defined folds and slightly tone-shifted pearlescent paint
  • Graceful from every angle, she makes a standout addition to any Commander’s collection
  • Frontline: If your squad needs a more durable lead, consider whether a Bulwark fills that gap.
  • Damage: A Sentinel may address a damage need, but its value depends on how it fits the encounter and the rest of the team.
  • Mobility or sub-DPS: A Vanguard can contribute scouting and damage in a different way from a frontline unit.
  • Healing or buffs: A Support may solve a survival or team-enhancement problem that a higher-ranked damage dealer would not.

These are class-level roles, not a substitute for checking an individual Doll’s abilities. A character that fills an urgent team job can be a more useful investment now than a higher-ranked character whose role your squad already covers.

Account for weaknesses, Stability, and cover

Encounter mechanics can change which Doll is useful. Prydwen’s guide explains that enemies have ammo and elemental weaknesses; attacking those weaknesses reduces Stability, while cover interacts with Stability’s damage reduction. Check the stage’s enemies and think about how your team can exploit weaknesses and use positioning rather than selecting only by tier.

This is also why a general ranking may not settle a difficult stage. A Doll with a lower broad placement may fit the enemy’s weakness or the map’s demands better than a generally stronger choice. Confirm the details for the specific stage and the current version of the game.

Look for synergy, and treat examples as conditional

Some Dolls gain value from the team around them or from the situation in which they are used. Pocket Gamer describes Qiongjiu as broadly versatile and discusses a pairing of Tololo with Qiongjiu, while also noting that some characters depend on the scenario. Those are that guide’s assessments for its dated Global list, not a guarantee that the combination is best for every roster or mode.

Rank #4
Girls Frontline: M4 Sopmod II Broom at the Bar 1:7 Scale PVC Figure
  • A Hobby Max import
  • From Girls Frontline
  • Wearing her Broom at the Bar costume
  • Back party dress contrasts with her headgear
  • Includes her namesake weapon in her hand

When a list mentions a pairing, check what the characters contribute together and whether you can field them without leaving another important role uncovered. A useful synergy should answer a team need or help with a particular encounter, not just reproduce a recommendation from a list.

Use lower-ranked or free Dolls when they solve the immediate problem

A tier list is a prioritization aid, not a rule that every lower-ranked Doll should be discarded. Pocket Gamer says starting free characters can be used reliably until a better replacement is obtained and describes some mid-ranked characters as scenario-dependent. If one of your available Dolls covers a role your team needs or matches a stage, using that character can make more sense than waiting for a higher-ranked option.

A practical way to choose what to build

  1. Choose the goal: Identify whether you are building for campaign progress, bosses, expansion drills, PvP, or another specific task.
  2. Find a current list for your server: Confirm its update date, version, and which Dolls are available in your region.
  3. Read the assumptions: Note whether the ranking expects duplicates, a particular weapon investment, or developed characters.
  4. Identify your squad’s gap: Decide whether you most need frontline durability, damage, mobility or sub-DPS, healing, or buffs.
  5. Check the encounter: Look for relevant ammo or elemental weaknesses, Stability considerations, cover, and positioning demands.
  6. Compare explanations, not just letters: Use separate lists as perspectives with different scope and assumptions; do not average their tiers into a false consensus.
  7. Build for the problem you have: Prefer a Doll who fills the gap or enables a useful synergy, even if another character ranks higher in a general list.
