React with an emoji on iPad
The documented iPad route is the same: open Photos → Collections → Shared Albums, choose the album and photo or video, then tap Reactions to react with an emoji. Apple’s iPad shared album guide documents these steps.
How the control differs on iCloud.com and Windows
Apple’s instructions for the web and Windows use a Like control rather than documenting the same emoji Reactions picker described for iPhone and iPad.

- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
- iCloud.com: Open Shared Albums from the sidebar, select an album, open a photo or video, then select Like. Apple notes that features may not be available in every country or region. See Apple’s iCloud.com guide.
- iCloud for Windows: Select a photo or video in an album you own or have subscribed to, then click Like. Click Like again to stop liking the item. Apple also describes differences in activity notifications for owners and subscribers in its iCloud for Windows guide.
If you can’t find Reactions
Check that you opened a photo or video inside a Shared Album in Photos, rather than a regular personal album. Apple’s iPhone and iPad instructions locate the reaction control by starting from Collections → Shared Albums. Interface labels and navigation may change with later software releases.
