Keep the factory-installed film on the Vivo X Fold6’s inner display. vivo says that film is integral to the screen and warns that removing it or applying another film may damage the display. If the film needs replacement, contact an official vivo customer service center. Optional screen protection should be treated separately: a protector designed for the outer cover display may be considered only after confirming exact X Fold6 compatibility.
Protect the inner foldable display by leaving its film in place
The X Fold6 has two displays: an 8.02-inch main display that folds inward and a 6.51-inch cover display on the outside, according to the vivo India E-Store. The store also lists protective film applied. These are different surfaces, and advice about a protector for the outside screen does not apply to the inner display.
vivo’s X Fold6 product page states: “The main display comes with a specially designed protective film. It is an integral part of the display. Do not remove it or replace it with another protective film, as doing so may damage the screen. For replacement, visit an official vivo customer service center.” Follow that guidance: do not peel off the film, install a replacement over it, or attempt a do-it-yourself replacement.

If the film bubbles, lifts, or becomes damaged, contact an official vivo customer service center and ask about service for your exact model and region. Do not use heat, tools, or adhesive to try to repair or remove the film; vivo’s X Fold6 guidance directs owners to official service for replacement.

Service availability and terms can vary by region and change over time. A vivo China notice dated November 10, 2022, described special-tool requirements for inner-screen film service on the X Fold series and said only some centers supported it then. That historical notice does not establish current X Fold6 service availability, price, or entitlement.
Should you buy an extra screen protector?
If you want an additional screen protector, look for one explicitly made for the X Fold6’s cover display, not the inner foldable screen. Before buying, verify that the listing names the exact X Fold6 model and identifies the outer cover display as the protected surface. A listing that simply says “X Fold6 screen protector” may not make that distinction clear.

Check the warranty terms for your region
Do not assume that scratches or physical damage are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. vivo India’s published warranty terms exclude natural wear and tear, including scratches, and physical damage from warranty replacement or repair; paid repair may be available. Those India-specific terms do not determine coverage in other countries, under optional protection plans, or under local consumer law. Check the terms that apply to your purchase and location.

What is known about X Fold6 durability
The official pages cited here provide screen sizes and care guidance, but do not establish a scratch-resistance rating or a screen damage rate. The display sizes are specifications, not durability measurements. vivo China lists June 2026 as the X Fold6 launch month for China; that is model context, not evidence of screen toughness or service availability elsewhere.
