To progress faster in Rise of Kittens, concentrate early hero resources on one main damage dealer, then invest enough in a tank or healer to keep that carry effective. Equip your best available gear, collect idle rewards, and spend shop currency selectively. These are practical priorities from third-party guides—not a verified current tier list: current costs, balance, shop stock, and reset rules are not established.
What progression involves
Rise of Kittens is presented as an idle RPG built around hero teams, auto-battles, offline rewards, and territory development. Hero strength and team composition help with combat progression, while idle rewards and in-game activities contribute resources. The recommendations below focus on using those resources efficiently rather than naming a universally best hero.
Which upgrades should you prioritize?
1. Build around one main damage dealer
BlueStacks’ third-party tips and tricks guide recommends focusing resources on a main DPS carry instead of spreading them across many heroes. A focused damage dealer gives your team a clear investment priority. The guide does not establish that one named hero is always best, so choose from the heroes you have rather than treating a particular character as a permanent requirement.
2. Support the carry with a tank or healer
Do not treat concentration as a reason to leave the rest of the team ineffective. The BlueStacks advice is to develop a healer or tank modestly alongside the carry; its beginner guide describes damage, tank, and support roles. The practical aim is to keep your damage dealer in the fight, not to level every hero equally.

3. Level heroes and equip your best available gear
The beginner guide identifies hero leveling and gear as ways to improve combat stats. Use earned resources to strengthen the heroes you rely on, and equip them with your best available gear. The available guidance does not establish an exact upgrade sequence, material threshold, or optimal level at which to switch investment to another hero.
4. Collect idle rewards and use available activities
Claim offline or AFK rewards when you return to the game, and check the tasks and events actually available in your build. No best collection interval, reward rate, or currently active event schedule is established, so treat rewards as a regular part of the resource loop rather than a quantified shortcut.

5. Be selective with shop currency
The BlueStacks tips guide recommends looking for discounted rank-up stones, limiting shop refreshes, and avoiding advanced summon tokens unless discounted or connected to an event. Check whether an investment is reversible
Before committing scarce resources or confirming a choice, look for an in-game explanation of whether it can be changed or reset. The official pre-registration event page said participants should spend summoning tokens before making their final hero selection and warned that a confirmed selection could not be changed. That rule applies to the 2024 pre-registration event; it does not establish the current reset or rollback rules for ordinary hero upgrades.

Current availability is not verified. Chrome-Stats reports that the Google Play listing was removed on July 16, 2025, and lists version 1.0.23 as last updated January 16, 2025.
