For a few Samsung Galaxy messages, the most dependable documented route is to take screenshots, transfer the images to a computer, and print them. Samsung’s direct-print guidance for older listed software versions recommends that workaround; its Galaxy S23 manual documents printing images and documents to compatible wireless printers, not a universal command for printing a raw text conversation. The steps and options can vary by phone, messaging app, software version, and region.
Print a few messages with screenshots

Open the conversation and scroll to the messages you need.

Take a screenshot using the method supported by your Galaxy model. If the conversation spans several screens, capture each section. Keep sender labels, timestamps, and enough surrounding context visible where they matter.

Transfer the screenshot images to a computer using a method available on your phone. Samsung’s Korean support guidance recommends sending captured images to a PC and printing them. Print the images from the computer, or print them from the phone if your printer setup supports image printing. Review a test page first to confirm the text is legible and the screenshots are in the right order.
Print an image from a Galaxy to a wireless printer
Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series EU English manual describes printing supported images and documents through Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct. It also cautions that some printers may not be compatible and that printing methods vary by content type. This manual does not establish a universal direct-print option for message threads, and menus can differ on other Galaxy models.

On the S23, go to Settings → Connections → More connection settings → Printing → Download plugin. Select the relevant printer plug-in and printer. The phone searches for printers on the same Wi-Fi network after a plug-in is selected; the manual also describes adding a printer manually.

Open the supported image or document, open its options, and choose Print. Available actions depend on the content and installed apps.
These menu labels come from the Galaxy S23 series manual and may not match another model or software release. Check your printer maker’s Android instructions if it does not appear, and test a screenshot before printing a long conversation. Samsung Galaxy S23 series manual: Printing

Back up, move, or share messages instead of printing
If the aim is to preserve a message history or move it to another phone, Samsung describes Samsung Cloud, Google backup, Smart Switch, and external-storage restore options. Smart Switch can restore messages to a phone, but Samsung says a PC or Mac backup file is not a readable message transcript on the computer; the messages can be read after transfer to a new phone. To share only particular messages, Samsung’s instructions are to select the desired message or messages in a conversation, tap Share, then choose Quick Share and a destination. That is a selected-message sharing path, not a documented full-thread print or formatting feature.

Account for messaging-app and region changes
Samsung’s US support guidance says Samsung Messages support ends in July 2026 on Galaxy devices running Android 12 or higher, and provides steps for switching to Google Messages. Samsung India’s guide, updated March 18, 2026, describes Smart Switch transferring message history to Google Messages during Galaxy setup and notes that availability can vary by software version and model. The reviewed Samsung instructions do not establish a single direct-print path that works across current Galaxy models and messaging apps. Check the current Share or Print options in your app, and confirm printer compatibility with its manufacturer.
