As of October 4, 2026, the original Pokémon Legends: Z-A is already out: it launched on October 16, 2025. The new product to watch is Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension, scheduled for release on October 29, 2026. Which version to order depends mainly on your console, whether you already own the game, and whether you want a physical or digital purchase.
Which edition should you buy?

How to preorder the 2026 Switch 2 bundle
The Pokémon Company and Nintendo’s US store list October 29, 2026 as the bundle’s scheduled release date. A listing or purchase page does not guarantee that preorders are open at every retailer or in every country, so confirm the status in your local storefront before ordering.
- Confirm your console. The new bundle is for Nintendo Switch 2. If you use the original Switch, look for the original Switch release instead.
- Choose physical or digital. The physical Switch 2 bundle puts the game and DLC on one game card. Nintendo’s US listing also states that the physical purchase includes an insert with a code for 100 Ultra Balls; verify the bonus and eligibility on the actual listing you use.
- Check the retailer’s live listing. Confirm that it is the Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension bundle, that the product is available to preorder in your region, and that the seller, shipping, taxes, and delivery terms suit you.
- Compare the total cost with your alternatives. If you already own the base game, compare buying the DLC and, if needed, the Switch 2 upgrade pack against buying the bundle. The current upgrade-pack price and local bundle prices are not established here; check your regional Nintendo store and retailer.
- Review the order terms before paying. Check cancellation, payment timing, delivery or collection, and any bonus terms. Promotions and stock can vary by retailer and market.
What does the bundle include?
The bundle combines Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition with the Mega Dimension DLC. The Pokémon Company says the physical Switch 2 release includes both on one game card. Nintendo’s US store separately lists the physical-purchase bonus: an insert containing a code for 100 Ultra Balls. That bonus statement applies to the listing and terms shown by Nintendo; it does not establish that every retailer or country offers the same promotion.

Switch game owners considering Switch 2
Nintendo’s release information says owners of the Nintendo Switch game can purchase an upgrade pack for the Switch 2 Edition, whether their original copy is digital or physical. Check the current price in your regional Nintendo store, then compare the upgrade plus any DLC you want with the bundle. A current upgrade-pack price is not stated in the cited release information.

Confirm that the live listing still shows the offer and read its terms before ordering. No single local price, broad retailer preorder status, or universal bonus is established here; those details depend on your country, storefront, and retailer.

Pokémon previously announced a Pokémon Center gift with preorder of the original 2025 game. That was a promotion for the original release, not evidence that the 2026 bundle has the same gift or that the offer is still active. Pokémon’s original preorder announcement.
