You can play Roblox on a compatible Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet if it meets Roblox’s Android requirements: Android 8.0 or later and OpenGL ES 3.0 support. Direct play on Samsung Smart TVs is not confirmed by the available official sources. Check your TV’s Apps store for Roblox; an Android TV rollout does not establish support for Samsung’s Tizen TVs.
Can you play Roblox on a Samsung phone or tablet?
Yes, if the Galaxy device meets Roblox’s Android requirements and Roblox is available in your region’s official app store. Roblox lists Android 8.0 or later and OpenGL ES 3.0 support as its baseline for Android mobile devices. Meeting that baseline does not guarantee optimal performance, because Android hardware varies by model. Roblox’s mobile system requirements explain the compatibility baseline and how to check Android version.
Check your Android version
- Open Settings.
- Tap About phone, then Software information.
- Find Android version. Menu labels can differ by Galaxy model and software version.
Also confirm that the device supports OpenGL ES 3.0. The Android version alone is not enough to establish compatibility.

- Open Google Play or Samsung Galaxy Store and search for Roblox. Install or update the app from an official store available on your device. Samsung’s Galaxy Store listing identifies Roblox as a free app from Roblox Corporation, but local availability can vary. View the Roblox Galaxy Store listing.
- Open Roblox, tap Login, and enter your account credentials.
- Choose an experience to play.
If Roblox is missing or will not run
First update Android and Roblox, then try Roblox’s troubleshooting steps: close and reopen or force-stop the app, restart the phone, reinstall Roblox, or clear the app’s data. These steps may address app problems, but they cannot make an unsupported device compatible. Roblox’s Android app troubleshooting guide provides the procedure.

Can you play Roblox directly on a Samsung Smart TV?
It is not established by the official sources cited here that Roblox has a Samsung Tizen TV app. Roblox announced a rollout for select Android TVs on April 17, 2026. Samsung Smart TVs use a different platform: Samsung says 2016-and-later models run Tizen apps. Android TV rollout details therefore do not prove that Roblox works on a Samsung TV. Roblox’s TV announcement describes the Android TV rollout; Samsung’s Smart TV platform FAQ describes TV platforms by model year.
Check the app store on your TV
- On the TV, open Home, select Apps, and search for Roblox.
- If Roblox appears for your model and region, install it from the TV’s app store and follow the on-screen sign-in instructions.
- If it does not appear, the reviewed official sources do not document a supported direct-install method for that Samsung TV.
Samsung says only apps available in the TV’s app store can be installed. App availability and menu wording may vary by model and region. Samsung’s guide to installing apps on a Smart TV explains the store-based process.

Why Android TV requirements do not settle Samsung TV support
Roblox’s April 2026 announcement described a rollout to select Android TVs, targeting 1080p sets with at least 1.5 GB of RAM and 4K sets with at least 2 GB of RAM. Those thresholds are part of Roblox’s Android TV rollout; they are not Samsung Tizen compatibility requirements. Samsung documents Tizen apps on 2016-and-later Smart TVs, legacy-platform support on 2015 models, and Samsung legacy apps on 2010–2014 models. The cited sources do not establish a Roblox app for those Samsung TV platforms.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesWill a controller work with Roblox on a Samsung TV?
Roblox says some games on supported Android TVs may need a game controller for the best experience. That note applies to supported Android TV play: it does not show that Roblox can be installed on Samsung Tizen TVs, and it does not say every TV experience requires a controller. Check the input instructions for the specific experience if Roblox is available on your TV.
