Exchange is a small, three-lane Strike map in Black Ops 6, and its central Deli is the key risk to manage: it connects routes but leaves players exposed to multiple sightlines. Use corners and counters to move around it, treat Terrace as a narrow, low-cover corridor, and use the southern Seafood and Butcher route when you need more chances to break line of sight. These are recommendations from Activision’s map guide, not proof of a current competitive meta.
How Exchange is laid out
Activision describes Exchange as a marketplace in Avalon where a Pantheon mole meets a contact. Its map guide, published August 1, 2025, calls it a small Strike map with a three-lane layout. The named areas give you useful landmarks for choosing a route and communicating where an opponent is.

The guide’s story setup is: “A Pantheon mole meets a contact in a small marketplace in Avalon; Operators deploy to the area with orders to apprehend the suspect.” Read Activision’s Exchange map guide.

Which route should you take?
Use Deli as a crossing, not an automatic destination
Deli connects the map but is exposed. Activision recommends approaching its corner rather than entering the open center directly, which can reduce the angles you face and make it easier to continue along the perimeter. If you hold around the counters, keep an escape route in mind; the guide notes that a Trophy System may help during a prolonged hold.

Choose Terrace for a direct but risky push
Terrace is narrow and has little cover. Its indented corners may let a player set an ambush, but the same confinement can punish anyone who pushes into an opponent or utility without a plan. Activision recommends a Molotov to temporarily deny the tight stalls or the path between Deli and Terrace.
Use the southern lane to change sightlines
Seafood and Butcher give you more chances than Terrace to leave the main line of sight. The roll-up door offers a view toward Deli, while the broken window can threaten players as they exit. Activision suggests traps or mines around this connection and identifies Shadow as a counter to enemy traps. Treat those as situational options from the official guide, not guaranteed ways to secure a crossing.

Use the map edges when distance helps
The open ground near Bar and Fruit Stall can expose you to incoming fire. Activision recommends backing toward the border to encourage an opponent to engage at longer range. That may suit a weapon or situation that favors distance; it is not a universal rule, and the longer approach can also give an opponent time to reposition.

How to use Exchange’s map information
Activision’s general Black Ops 6 multiplayer guide distinguishes the Minimap, which shows the nearby area, from the Tac Map, which shows the whole map. In objective modes, markers indicate neutral, friendly, and enemy control. The compass shows cardinal direction and your current location name. These are general game features, not Exchange-specific mechanics.

- Check the Minimap for nearby activity before crossing exposed ground.
- Use the Tac Map to understand where the objective and your team are in relation to the three lanes.
- Call out named locations such as Deli, Terrace, or Seafood and Butcher so teammates can orient themselves.

Activision gives three example templates. They are starting points to adapt to your preferences and the current game build; the map guide does not establish a statistically best weapon or confirm that these choices are currently strongest.

Activision’s multiplayer guide says Strike maps appear in Face Off 6v6 and describes Face Off as a small-map variant. Blizzard’s launch overview says Strike maps were designed for Face Off 6v6 or 2v2. Those sources establish supported formats, not which playlist is live today; playlists change regularly.
