Bing’s Homepage Quiz is tied to the image shown on Bing.com. It can test your knowledge of the image’s subject, but it is not automatically a Microsoft Rewards activity and it does not guarantee cash, prizes, or a fixed number of points.
If your goal is to earn Rewards points, use the Microsoft Rewards dashboard rather than assuming that every quiz on the Bing homepage qualifies. The activity tile’s displayed terms and point value are the rules for your account, country, and current promotion.
What Bing’s Homepage Quiz actually is
The homepage quiz is an informational feature connected to Bing’s daily image. It normally gives you more context about the photograph, location, event, person, animal, or landmark featured on the homepage.

Microsoft says that quizzes and daily activities may earn points, but availability depends on factors such as your region, account, promotion, and the specific activity. Therefore, a quiz visible at bing.com is not automatically the same thing as a Rewards quiz.

There is also no universal rule that the quiz always pays 10, 15, 30, or 50 points. If a qualifying Rewards offer has a value, use the amount shown on that individual Rewards tile.
How to open the Bing homepage quiz
- Open Bing.com in a desktop browser.
- Move the pointer below the search box. The daily image information or quiz area may appear there.
- Click the image headline, image information, or credit information associated with the daily picture.
- Read the information page and open the quiz if one is offered.
Bing’s layout is not identical in every country, browser, device, or account. On a phone, the image information and quiz may be placed differently or may not be available. If you cannot see it, try the full Bing homepage in a desktop browser rather than a search-results page, Microsoft Start page, or embedded Bing panel.
How to find the quiz that can earn Rewards points
For a reliable check, go directly to the Rewards dashboard:
- Visit rewards.bing.com.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that should receive the points.
- Find the Daily Set and the other current earning activities.
- Open the quiz or activity shown in one of those tiles.
- Complete it, then check that the tile changes to its completed state.
- Review your balance. Some activities may require a separate claim action.
Microsoft says a completed Daily Set displays a green checkmark. The dashboard, rather than a generic claim on a third-party page or a screenshot of a quiz, is the best place to verify whether Microsoft recorded the activity.
Can you win every time?
Not in the literal sense. The title’s “win every time” should be understood as “avoid missing a qualifying activity,” not as a promise of a prize or a guaranteed perfect score.

Microsoft does not publish a universal scoring rule for every Bing Homepage Quiz. Some quizzes may show whether an answer is correct, while others may simply provide information. Microsoft also does not promise that an incorrect answer earns the same reward as a correct one. Follow the instructions and terms displayed by the specific activity.
What you can do is complete the activity carefully:
- Read the image headline and supporting text before answering.
- Use the subject, date, location, and image credit as clues.
- Do not rush through questions by guessing if the quiz gives you an opportunity to review the information.
- Confirm that the quiz came from the Rewards dashboard if points are your objective.
- Check the completed status and balance before closing the browser.
What “winning” can mean in Microsoft Rewards
Completing a qualifying quiz generally means earning Microsoft Rewards points, not winning cash. Points have no cash value and may be redeemed for options shown on your regional Redeem page, such as gift cards, sweepstakes entries, donations, or other available offers.
A sweepstakes entry is a separate redemption product. Completing a quiz does not itself guarantee entry into a sweepstakes or guarantee a prize.
Why the quiz or points may be missing

Microsoft also identifies browser/account synchronization issues, regional mismatches, Give Mode, capped activity, and uncredited activity as possible reasons for missing points. If the dashboard still shows an incorrect balance after checking these items, contact Microsoft Rewards Support.

Use Streak protection when it is available
Microsoft’s Streak protection feature can help with a missed Daily Set, but it is not a way to force a homepage quiz to award points. When enabled, Microsoft says it provides 14 protection days for the year. Protection days cannot be purchased or replenished after they are used during that year.
On desktop, look for the toggle next to Streak protection on the Rewards dashboard. On mobile, Microsoft places the toggle next to Daily set. Availability can vary, so check the controls shown on your dashboard.
Do not use VPNs, bots, or automated searches
Trying to change your apparent country with a VPN or proxy is not a safe way to unlock more quizzes or higher Rewards rates. Microsoft’s Services Agreement prohibits masking geographic location for Rewards and says this can lead to account cancellation and forfeiture of points.
Microsoft also prohibits automated, fraudulent, bot-generated, macro-generated, or meaningless searches. Avoid:
- Rapidly submitting strings of random letters or numbers.
- Using scripts, bots, macros, or browser automation to complete activities.
- Opening pages repeatedly just to trigger points.
- Using a VPN to access another region’s offers.
- Running searches that are not genuine personal research.
Use one Microsoft account in its normal region, complete activities manually, and respect the limits shown by Rewards. Artificial activity can invalidate points or suspend the account.

Current Rewards terminology can differ
Microsoft’s current Rewards About page lists the membership names Member, Silver, and Gold. It gives current thresholds and search limits on that page, but availability varies by country. Some older Microsoft Support pages still use Level 1 and Level 2 and show different limits.
For that reason, do not rely on an old article claiming a universal tier, search cap, or quiz payout. The Rewards dashboard and the current offer tile are the authoritative sources for your account.

Completing a quiz normally does not guarantee cash or a prize. It may earn points only when it is a qualifying Rewards activity. Sweepstakes entries and other redemptions are separate products.

Why is the quiz missing from Bing?
It may not be available in your country or account, may have ended, or you may be viewing a different Bing surface. Open the full Bing homepage and check the Microsoft Rewards dashboard.
