To pair a Skullcandy noise cancelling headphone, first identify its exact model name, then follow the official pairing guide for that model. Skullcandy does not publish one universal button sequence across its noise cancelling line, so a generic sequence from another model can put your headphones into the wrong mode or make them look unresponsive.
Identify your exact model first
Pairing steps differ between models, so start by confirming the name. You can usually find it in one of these places:
- Printed on the headband, earcup, or inside the headband band of the headphones.
- On the outside of the product box, or on the label of the carrying case.
- In the product information that came with the headphones or on the original order confirmation.
Model names that appear in Skullcandy’s official support material for noise cancelling headphones include Crusher ANC, Crusher EVO, Crusher 360, and Venue. Match your headphones to one of these names before you follow any instructions.

Find the official guide for your model
Skullcandy’s official support pages publish model-specific setup material. The table below lists what the official material found for this article covers for each model. Open the guide for your model on Skullcandy’s support site and follow its pairing-mode instructions, since the exact button presses, hold times, and indicator-light behavior are set out there rather than in this article.

If the guide for your model asks you to use a specific pairing gesture, follow it exactly. Where the guide and this article differ, the guide for your model takes precedence.
Pair the headphones with your phone, tablet, or computer
Once the headphones are in pairing mode as described in your model’s guide, connect them from the device you want to use:

- iPhone or iPad: Open Settings, tap Bluetooth, and make sure Bluetooth is on. Wait for your headphones to appear under Other Devices, then tap their name.
- Android phone or tablet: Open Settings and go to the Bluetooth page. On many Android phones it sits under Connected devices, but menu names vary by manufacturer. Tap Pair new device, then select your headphones from the list.
- Windows PC: Open Settings, go to Bluetooth & devices, select Add device, then choose Bluetooth. Pick your headphones from the list.
- Confirm the connection: Play audio from the device. Check that sound comes from the headphones and that the device shows them as connected.
Some devices list a headset under a name that differs from the model name. If you see more than one entry, compare the name with the one on your headphones and the device connected to the most recent pairing.

- Headphones do not appear in the Bluetooth list. Confirm they are in pairing mode as described in the model guide. Keep them close to the device during setup.
- Old pairing is still stored. If the headphones were previously paired with the same device, remove them from the device’s Bluetooth list and pair again.
- The headphones are connected to another device. Disconnect them from the other device or turn off Bluetooth on it, then try again.
- Nothing works after several attempts. Use the troubleshooting or reset instructions in the official guide for your exact model. Do not try a reset sequence from a different model.
Do you need the Skullcandy app?
Skullcandy’s product registration material lists Crusher ANC among products to register through its app. That registration material does not establish that the app is required to pair the headphones over Bluetooth. Pairing through your device’s Bluetooth settings, as described above, is the step the official model guides address.
