You can move photos and contacts from an iPhone to a OnePlus with OnePlus’s Clone Phone app, using the iCloud or QR-pairing route shown on your devices. WhatsApp chats are a separate transfer: they may move during Android setup if the compatible WhatsApp prompt appears. Neither route guarantees that every item transfers on every OnePlus model, so check the destination before erasing or trading in your iPhone.
Before you start
- Charge both phones, install available updates if practical, and make sure the OnePlus has enough free space. Clone Phone’s Google Play listing says you can transfer in batches or clear storage if space is insufficient: Clone Phone on Google Play.
- Keep the iPhone and its data available until you have checked the OnePlus. Do not erase the iPhone, sign out of accounts, or trade it in before verifying the items you need.
- If using OnePlus’s iCloud-based instructions, sign in to iCloud on the iPhone and enable sync for relevant categories, such as Contacts and Photos. Let synchronization finish before starting the import. OnePlus describes these settings in its Ireland transfer instructions.
- Keep the original WhatsApp app and iPhone available until you confirm the chats and media on the new phone. An iCloud WhatsApp backup does not by itself establish that chats will restore to Android.
Move photos and contacts with Clone Phone
Use the instructions and labels shown on your actual OnePlus: Clone Phone’s route can vary with model, OxygenOS or Android version, and region. OnePlus lists Contacts and Photos as migration categories, but its app listing warns that supported data varies across systems and Android versions. Treat this as a transfer of supported content, not a guaranteed full clone.
- On the OnePlus, open Clone Phone and select This is the new device.
- Choose iPhone as the old device if that option appears.
- On the iPhone, open Clone Phone and select This is the old device, if the app offers that route. Follow the OnePlus screen to scan its QR code and choose the data to transfer.
- If the app instead presents an iCloud sign-in or synchronization route, follow those prompts and select the categories you want. Keep both phones connected as the transfer runs; follow any on-screen connection requirements.
- Wait for the completion message, then open Photos or Gallery and Contacts on the OnePlus. Spot-check older and recent photos, albums, and contact details before relying on the transfer.
OnePlus’s US instructions describe a Wi-Fi and QR route: connect the iPhone over Wi-Fi, scan the QR code, review the Switch to Android introduction, choose what to copy, and wait for completion. Labels and steps can differ from the Ireland support flow above; use the route displayed on your phone rather than assuming every OnePlus has identical screens. See OnePlus US transfer instructions.
OnePlus’s Clone Phone listing names contacts, photos, videos, and calendar among possible categories, with the explicit warning that support varies. The documentation does not promise that every photo format, edit, hidden item, album structure, or contact detail will carry over unchanged: Clone Phone on Google Play.

Move WhatsApp chats separately
Do not assume that transferring photos and contacts also moves WhatsApp history. Google documents a cable-based Android setup flow in which the iPhone is connected to the new phone and a QR prompt is scanned to move WhatsApp conversations and media. That is a distinct setup-time route, and it is not a universal promise that every iPhone-to-OnePlus combination supports WhatsApp migration.
- During OnePlus setup, check whether Android offers a WhatsApp transfer prompt. Follow the displayed instructions if it appears.
- For Google’s documented wired flow, the stated cable is USB-C to Lightning, connecting a compatible Lightning-port iPhone to the Android phone. Scan the QR code shown during setup when prompted.
- After setup, open WhatsApp on the OnePlus and check that the expected conversations and media are present before removing WhatsApp or erasing the iPhone.
Google’s description dates to October 26, 2021, when the feature was described for supported Android setup flows, initially on Samsung Galaxy and Pixel and planned for new phones launching with Android 12. That historical rollout is not evidence that the same prompt is available on every current OnePlus. The Clone Phone listing names certain app data but does not explicitly guarantee WhatsApp chat-history transfer for every iPhone/OnePlus pair. If the WhatsApp prompt does not appear, consult current WhatsApp and OnePlus support for your exact phone and software version. Avoid relying on an unverified third-party transfer utility for your only copy of important chats.

These are different paths, not competing instructions for one universal transfer. Clone Phone’s Google Play listing says iOS transfers may require data connectivity, while its statement that Android-to-OnePlus transfers do not need a network applies to a different platform pair. Do not assume all iPhone transfers work offline or require a cable: Clone Phone on Google Play.

If a cable seems necessary, check the iPhone connector and the OnePlus setup instructions before buying one. USB-C to Lightning applies only to compatible Lightning-port iPhones; it is not the right cable description for a USB-C iPhone.
Check whether a newer wireless setup option is available
Google’s update page describes a newer wireless transfer developed with Apple that can include passwords, photos, messages, matched apps, contacts, home-screen layout, and eSIM. Its listed rollout starts with Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel; the page labels OnePlus 15 as “Coming Soon.” That status is not a promise of availability on other OnePlus models—or necessarily on every OnePlus 15 at the same time. Check the phone’s setup screen and Google’s current Android transfer page for the latest availability.

Verify the move before wiping the iPhone
- Photos: Open Photos or Gallery and check a selection of older and recent items and any albums you rely on.
- Contacts: Check several entries, including any details important to you, such as phone numbers and email addresses.
- WhatsApp: Open the app on the OnePlus and confirm the conversations and media you expected to move.
- Storage: If the transfer stopped or omitted content, check free space and whether the OnePlus offers a batch-transfer or retry option.
If something is missing, keep the iPhone intact and use the relevant OnePlus or WhatsApp support instructions for your model and software. A transfer-complete screen alone does not verify that every item arrived as expected.
