You can customize transparency on some Galaxy screens, but there is no single setting that makes every Samsung app and system surface transparent or removes blur everywhere. For the Quick Panel and notification appearance, try Good Lock’s Theme Park. For a widget, open that widget’s settings and look for background and transparency controls. The available options depend on the One UI version, device, and feature—and transparency does not necessarily disable blur.
First identify what you want to change
“Transparency” can mean a see-through background, a different tint or opacity, or a blurred backdrop. These are separate effects, and the available controls differ by screen. Choose the surface before changing settings:
- Quick Panel or notification appearance: Start with Good Lock and Theme Park.
- A home-screen widget: Open that widget’s own settings.
- Lock-screen notifications: Theme Park may be worth trying, but reports about its availability and behavior vary.
- App icons or navigation bar: These have their own appearance controls and should not be treated as the same setting.
Also check your phone’s One UI version. Module features and menus change over time, and Samsung’s listings describe version-specific support rather than one universal interface.

Customize the Quick Panel and notifications with Theme Park
Good Lock is Samsung’s suite for customizing Galaxy features. Samsung describes it as an app for changing a Galaxy phone’s on-screen look and aspects of the lock screen and notifications (Samsung Global Newsroom; the overview predates current One UI releases). For Quick Panel and notification appearance, Theme Park is the most directly relevant starting point. Its Galaxy Store listing describes Quick Panel customization and records ongoing changes to the module.

- Install or open Good Lock from Samsung’s Galaxy Store, if it is available for your device and region.
- Open Theme Park from Good Lock. If prompted, install the module.
- Choose the Quick Panel or notification customization area and inspect the controls offered by your installed version. Look for background, color, or transparency options rather than assuming a particular opacity slider is present.
- Apply the design and check it on the screen you intended to change. If the result is too hard to read, use a less transparent background or a stronger tint.
Theme Park’s controls and labels can change with updates. Its listing includes a One UI Home 8.5 badge-color setting and a fix for an app-icon transparency issue; those notes do not establish a universal transparent-icon control or identical features on every Galaxy device.
When QuickStar may be relevant
QuickStar is another Good Lock module for Quick Panel customization, but it has a different feature set from Theme Park. Its Galaxy Store listing notes One UI-version-specific support and feature changes. Check the current listing for your device; do not assume QuickStar provides a particular transparency or opacity slider.

Adjust transparency for an individual widget
For a widget, start with the widget itself rather than a phone-wide transparency setting. Samsung’s One UI 8.0 release notes for the listed firmware model say users can adjust a widget’s shape, background color, and transparency in that widget’s settings.

- On the Home screen, open the settings for the specific widget. Depending on the widget, this may be available by tapping the widget or using its edit or settings control.
- Look for options such as Background color, Transparency, or Shape, then adjust them if offered.
- Check the widget against your wallpaper and text. If the widget offers no such controls, its settings may not support them on your device.
The release notes do not say that every widget exposes the same controls, or that a transparency option disables blur. A background can be see-through while a blur effect remains.

Try Theme Park for lock-screen notification appearance
Samsung Community users have reported that a former lock-screen notification transparency option in Settings changed or disappeared with One UI 7, and some describe Theme Park as an alternative. Other community discussion also reports setting notification transparency through Theme Park. These are user-reported routes, not a guaranteed Settings path or feature for every model, software version, or region. Check the Theme Park options available on your phone rather than relying on an old menu instruction.
App icons and navigation bars use different controls

Theme Park’s listing mentions an app-icon transparency issue being fixed in a One UI Home 8.5 context. That is evidence that icon appearance is within the module’s feature area, not proof that every app can be given a transparent icon background. Check the controls in your installed version.

Navigation bar
Samsung’s One UI design guidance distinguishes opaque, translucent, and transparent navigation-bar styles. It says transparent and translucent navigation bars are not affected by background settings or themes. This is design guidance, not a current step-by-step Settings path, and navigation-bar behavior is separate from widget or notification transparency.
Why transparency may not remove blur
Transparency controls how much of what lies behind a surface can show through; blur changes how clearly that background appears. A Samsung Community discussion about widgets on One UI 7 describes readers encountering blur while asking for transparency without forced blur. That report does not establish that blur affects all widgets or devices, nor does it identify a universal switch to turn it off. If your chosen surface has a transparency control but no blur control, adjusting opacity alone may not remove the blur.

Keep older community tips in context
A community workaround for removing circles behind notification icons describes specific Theme Park color and transparency choices for One UI 5.0. Treat it as an older, version-specific user tip, not a reliable instruction for One UI 7 or 8. Samsung Community reports can help explain why controls differ, but they do not guarantee the same menus or results across Galaxy phones.
Choose a setting that remains readable
More transparency can make wallpaper show through, but it can also reduce the contrast of text, icons, and controls. Adjust the surface you care about, then check it against both light and dark portions of your wallpaper. If the interface becomes difficult to read, increase the background’s opacity or choose a stronger tint. A transparent widget, notification panel, icon, and navigation bar are separate outcomes; changing one does not make the others transparent.
