To make text larger in Google Sheets on a computer, select the cell or range, then choose a bigger value from the font-size control in the toolbar. To remove strikethrough, select the affected cell or text and toggle off the strikethrough control. If the sheet only looks small on your screen, change zoom instead; that does not change the cell’s font formatting.
Make cell text bigger

Select the cell or range whose text you want to enlarge.

In the toolbar at the top, open the font-size control and choose a larger size. This changes the formatting of the selected cell content.

Change only part of a cell’s text
To enlarge just a word or phrase rather than the entire cell, double-click the cell, select the text you want to change, and choose a larger size from the toolbar. Google documents this selection method for formatting part of a cell’s content in its editing guide.

Click the strikethrough control in the toolbar to toggle the formatting off.

Remove it from selected text only
Double-click the cell, select the struck-through text, and click the toolbar’s strikethrough control. This changes the selected text rather than applying the change to all content in the cell.

Shortcuts can vary with keyboard or language settings. If one does not work, select the cell or text and use the toolbar control. See Google’s keyboard shortcuts reference.

To make the spreadsheet appear larger without changing the font formatting, open the zoom menu in the toolbar and choose a higher percentage. Google documents a spreadsheet zoom range of 50% to 200% in its view settings help. Zoom changes how the sheet appears on screen; the font-size control changes the formatting of cell content.
