To open Bluehost email in a browser, sign in to the Bluehost Portal and choose the login route for your email product. For cPanel Email, you can also open the mailbox’s Email Accounts page and select Check Email, which launches Roundcube. Use the full email address and that mailbox’s password for cPanel or Professional Email; Google Workspace has its own sign-in.
Choose the right Bluehost email login
Bluehost supports different email products, and they do not all lead to the same sign-in screen. If you are unsure which one hosts your address, start at the Portal’s Email section and identify the matching product before entering credentials.

These routes and button labels reflect Bluehost’s access instructions updated July 18, 2026, and its product-specific menu guides. If the Portal login page is easier to find, its Webmail Login tab is another starting point for webmail access. Bluehost account login
Sign in through the Bluehost Portal
Start from the login page
- Open Bluehost’s account login page and select the Webmail Login tab.
- Enter your email address. On the next page, enter the email address and its password.
Use the Email section after signing in
- Sign in to the Bluehost Portal and select Email in the left navigation.
- Choose the tab for your email product: Professional Email, Google Workspace, or cPanel Email.
- Select the corresponding login action. For cPanel Email, open Email Accounts and select Check Email beside the mailbox you want to open.
Bluehost’s cPanel account guide says Check Email opens the Roundcube dashboard. Do not use Roundcube as the expected destination for Professional Email or Google Workspace; their Portal routes lead to their respective services. Bluehost’s cPanel email account guide

Open cPanel webmail directly
Direct domain URLs apply to cPanel webmail, not to every Bluehost email product. Bluehost lists the following formats, with example.com replaced by your domain. The domain must be configured and propagated for direct access to work; try the secure port 2096 address first.
https://example.com:2096— secure SSL connection.https://example.com/webmailhttps://www.example.com:2096/3rdparty/roundcube/index.php— direct Roundcube route.http://example.com:2095— without SSL.http://webmail.example.com
Replace the example domain in each address with your own. If a direct URL fails, use the Portal route instead of assuming the mailbox password is the problem. Bluehost’s webmail access guide

Fix common sign-in problems
“Email address or password is incorrect”
- Enter the complete email address, including the part after
@, rather than only the username. - Check capitalization: the mailbox password is case-sensitive.
- Confirm you are using the credentials for the selected email product. Google Workspace uses its Workspace sign-in, not the cPanel Roundcube route.
The page says to log in through the Control Panel
Bluehost says this can happen when its login system cannot find the email server because the domain is not pointed to Bluehost. If the mailbox is meant to be hosted there, check the domain’s nameservers, DNS configuration, and mail routing before repeatedly changing passwords. If an old Bluehost mailbox is still needed after email moved elsewhere, Bluehost’s troubleshooting guide gives a Portal route through Hosting → Email → More → Access Webmail.

Possible causes Bluehost lists include domain or DNS problems, propagation still in progress, blocked ports, server maintenance, or a temporarily blocked IP address. Try the Portal login route and another documented cPanel URL. If the problem persists, contact Bluehost support through its login troubleshooting guide; an IP block or server-side issue may need support rather than a password change.

The browser may be using stale session data
Bluehost includes clearing the browser’s cache and cookies among its troubleshooting suggestions. After clearing them, reopen the login route and enter the correct product credentials.
A newly purchased cPanel plan is missing from the Email tab
Bluehost says a new cPanel Email plan can be accessed through Portal → Hosting → My Plans → cPanel Email → Email Accounts before it appears in the main dashboard’s Email tab. Its guide says the Email tab may not reflect the plan until its overnight update, described there as “until midnight.” Once the tab updates, use Email → cPanel Email → Email Accounts → Check Email. Webmail or an installed email app?
Webmail means reading and sending email in a browser; Bluehost says it does not require installing separate software. Roundcube is the webmail client built into cPanel. Outlook, Thunderbird, and Apple Mail are examples of installed alternatives, which may suit people who want features such as offline access or notifications.
