To log in to BambooHR on a computer, open the official login page, enter your employer’s BambooHR company domain, then use the sign-in method your employer has configured. On a phone, install BambooHR Mobile and follow its prompts with your company email address. Your employer’s settings determine whether you sign in with a password, Google credentials, or single sign-on (SSO).
Log in to BambooHR on a PC
- Go to BambooHR’s official login page.
- Enter your company domain and continue. The domain is the text before
.bamboohr.comin your employer’s BambooHR address. For example, inhttps://companyname.bamboohr.com, the domain iscompanyname. - Complete the sign-in method your employer uses. Depending on the account setup, you may be asked for an email address and password, Google credentials, or SAML/SSO. The available options vary by employer.
If you do not know the company domain, the login page advises asking a colleague. Your HR or IT administrator can also provide the correct login address and explain which sign-in method to use.
Log in to BambooHR on a phone
- Download BambooHR Mobile from Google Play for Android or the App Store for iOS. The app is free to download, but you need an active BambooHR account provided by your employer to use it.
- Open the app and follow the prompts, starting with your company email address. BambooHR’s 2022 product update described an email-first flow, followed by password, Google, or SAML authentication, or a domain prompt for users with multiple BambooHR accounts. Screens may change as the app is updated and can vary with your employer’s configuration.
- If your employer uses OneLogin SSO, BambooHR documents using OneLogin to access BambooHR in the mobile app. Ask your organization’s administrator whether this applies to your account and which route to follow.
Choose the right sign-in route
The device determines where you start; your employer’s configuration determines how you authenticate.

Fix common BambooHR login problems
You do not know your company domain
Check the company BambooHR address if you have it: the domain is the portion before .bamboohr.com. Otherwise, use the help on BambooHR’s login page or ask a colleague, HR, or IT for the correct company login address.

You do not see a password option or get an unexpected SSO prompt
Use the route your employer configured rather than assuming password login is available. BambooHR documents SAML and OneLogin support, and password login may depend on the administrator’s SSO configuration. Ask HR or IT if you are unsure which credentials or identity provider to use.
Your password is forgotten or access is rejected
Contact your employer’s BambooHR administrator for the correct recovery process. BambooHR’s public login information does not establish one universal password-recovery flow for every employer setup.

The mobile app prompts look different
Follow the current on-screen prompts. BambooHR described a simplified email-first mobile login in its June 7, 2022 product update, but authentication choices can depend on your employer’s configuration and whether you have multiple BambooHR accounts.

When to contact HR or IT
Ask your organization’s HR or IT administrator when you need the company domain, do not know whether your account uses a password or SSO, cannot access the account, or need employer-specific recovery instructions. Those details are set up for your organization; downloading the mobile app does not create a BambooHR account.
