Its Class A shares began trading on Nasdaq on June 12, 2026, so investors may seek direct exposure through a brokerage account that supports the security in their jurisdiction. Funds may also provide indirect exposure, but their holdings and structures differ. The IPO offer price of $135 per share is historical—not a current quote.
How to buy SpaceX shares directly
Direct ownership means buying SpaceX Class A shares listed as SPCX, rather than buying a fund that holds SpaceX or uses derivatives tied to its shares. SpaceX confirmed that trading began June 12, 2026, on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and Nasdaq Texas. SpaceX’s closing announcement identifies the ticker and start date.
- Confirm access. Check whether your brokerage supports SPCX and whether you are eligible to trade it in your country. Availability can vary by broker and jurisdiction.
- Check the live quote and security details. Confirm that the order is for SpaceX Class A stock under SPCX. Review current share-class and voting-rights information in company filings rather than assuming rights from the ticker alone.
- Choose an order type and review costs. Consider how your chosen order type works and check any brokerage trading charges or other costs before placing an order.
- Decide whether the risk fits your goals. A direct share purchase is concentrated exposure to one company; it is not diversified in the way a broad fund may be.
What the IPO price and offering figures mean
SpaceX announced an IPO offer price of $135 per share on June 11, 2026. That was the offering price, not a current market price. Check a live market quote before making any decision; the price can change after trading begins. The company’s pricing announcement also said the offering covered 555,555,555 Class A shares and included a 30-day underwriter option for up to 83,333,333 additional shares. SpaceX’s closing announcement said that option was exercised in full. These are offering-period details, not current price guidance or a statement of the present share count.

A fund can provide indirect exposure through its portfolio, but buying a fund is not the same as owning SPCX shares directly. Review its current holdings, mandate, domicile, fees, liquidity, and whether any SpaceX exposure is direct or indirect. Holdings and weights can change.

ARK Invest Europe reported that three actively managed UCITS ETFs held SpaceX as of the June 12, 2026 market close. The weights below are based on official net asset value on that date, are not current guarantees, and are subject to change. ARK’s announcement points readers to daily holdings; check those holdings and the relevant share class and exchange before treating a fund as a current route.

Why an inverse SPCX fund is not a way to own SpaceX
An inverse fund is designed for short exposure, not for investors seeking to own shares and benefit from their appreciation. A SEC-filed prospectus for an SPCX-linked inverse fund describes a target of -2X SPCX’s daily performance, not a guaranteed return or a two-times inverse result over any arbitrary holding period. Under normal circumstances, it says at least 80% of net assets plus investment borrowings are invested in swaps and options intended to pursue that daily objective, and the adviser rebalances daily. The summary prospectus explains that daily compounding means results over periods longer than one day generally will not equal -200% of SPCX’s cumulative return for the same period. Derivatives, daily resets, and potential losses make this a specialized product; read the current prospectus before considering it.

How to choose among the routes

If your aim is to own SpaceX stock, direct SPCX shares are the route that represents direct ownership. If you prefer a broader portfolio, assess any fund on its current holdings and overall mandate.
