You can use the Xbox app on Windows to find and launch installed games from supported PC storefronts, including Battle.net. Install a Battle.net game through Battle.net first; the Xbox app then adds it to its library. For installing, updating, moving, repairing, or uninstalling Battle.net game files, use Battle.net: Xbox’s published guidance describes library aggregation and launching, not those file-management controls.
What the Xbox app can manage—and what it cannot
“Manage” can mean two different things here: keeping games together in a library and launching them, or changing the game files on your PC. Xbox’s documented workflow covers the first. It does not establish that the Xbox app installs Battle.net games or manages their files.

How to get a Battle.net game into the Xbox app
- Install the game from Battle.net. Use Battle.net to download and install the title. The Xbox app is not the installer in this workflow.
- Open the Xbox app on your PC. Look for the installed game under My Library or in the Most Recent list. Xbox says games installed from supported PC storefronts automatically appear in both places; Battle.net is among the supported storefronts named in its announcement. Xbox Wire, September 15, 2025
- Select the game to launch it. The Xbox app provides a consolidated place to find and start the game; the documented process does not transfer game-file control from Battle.net to Xbox.
Hide a storefront’s games from the Xbox library
If you do not want a storefront’s titles listed in the Xbox app, Xbox’s published path is profile picture > Settings > Library & Extensions. Turn off the listing for the storefront you want to hide. Xbox says titles from a disabled storefront no longer appear in the Xbox library. This changes library visibility, not the installation or files on your PC. Xbox Wire, September 15, 2025

On April 30, 2026, Xbox described a feature for its PC app on handheld devices that lets users manually add installed games and apps to the library regardless of where they were installed. The announcement also describes customizing a title’s name, icon, launch options, and advanced launch commands. It is specifically a handheld update; it does not establish that the same manual-add process is available generally on desktop PCs. Xbox Wire, April 30, 2026

Why Xbox add-on management is not Battle.net game management
Xbox has also announced add-on installation and management through a Manage view in the Xbox PC app. That feature concerns add-ons for installed games; the announcement does not say it manages Battle.net game files. Xbox Wire, September 25, 2024
