Unlock Pack Mule in the Swordmastery skill tree to raise Coen’s maximum Carry Weight. Its three ranks add +30, +60 and +100 maximum Carry Weight, and rank three lets him run while encumbered. You’ll need Endless Effort first; the ability reference lists the Pack Mule Manual as the teaching manual. Pack Mule ability reference
How Pack Mule increases carry capacity
Pack Mule is the documented in-game way to increase Coen’s carry limit. The ability reference lists these gains by rank:

Open the Equipment screen and compare the carried-weight figure with the maximum carrying threshold. A September 26, 2026 guide describes the first figure as the combined weight of carried items and the second as the current limit. Runway Game’s September 26 guide

What happens when Coen is overencumbered?
The game glossary says that exceeding the Inventory Weight Limit makes Coen Overencumbered, which prevents him from running or using Fast Travel. How to reduce carried weight before upgrading Pack Mule
If you are already over the limit, the September 26, 2026 walkthrough recommends selling or dismantling surplus equipment and moving items you want to keep into Shrine Stashes. The game glossary identifies Shrine Stashes as part of the storage system. The same guide notes that medium and heavy armor and full-size swords add substantially to load; that is third-party guide advice, not a developer statement. Unofficial PC mods for a higher limit
Community sources describe PC mods that increase the carry limit, but these are not official game options and have not been established as compatible with current patches.

These reports do not verify current patch compatibility, console support, or download safety and maintenance. The game’s documented in-game options are Pack Mule and managing the items you carry.
