To suppress the New Software is available toast for a Configuration Manager task sequence, open the task sequence’s properties and select Suppress task sequence notifications. This hides the availability toast, not the Software Center notification-area icon or the task-sequence progress window; those have separate controls.
Suppress the task-sequence availability toast

In the Configuration Manager console, go to Software Library > Operating Systems > Task Sequences.

Open the task sequence’s properties.

Select Suppress task sequence notifications, then apply the change.

This property suppresses the “New Software is available” toast. It does not remove the Software Center icon from the notification area. See Microsoft’s Manage task sequences documentation for the setting and its scope.

Check whether the progress window is the notification you mean
The availability toast and task-sequence progress dialog are separate interfaces. If your goal is to hide the progress dialog, use the deployment’s Show Task Sequence progress setting instead. In PowerShell, the corresponding deployment parameter is -ShowTaskSequenceProgress on Set-CMTaskSequenceDeployment. Microsoft documents the parameter in Set-CMTaskSequenceDeployment.
To change progress visibility at a particular point in a task sequence, set the TSDisableProgressUI task-sequence variable to true to hide the progress UI or false to show it. You can set it more than once to change visibility during the sequence. See Microsoft’s task sequence variable reference.

Know when notification suppression applies
Microsoft documents important limits for Suppress task sequence notifications: it applies to task sequences running in the full operating system, is ignored when a sequence starts from PXE or boot media, and does not apply to clients communicating through a cloud management gateway (CMG). If the toast still appears, check how the sequence was started and how the client connects before treating the setting as ineffective.

Microsoft’s Set-CMTaskSequence cmdlet exposes Boolean parameters for notification behavior. Use -SuppressNotification to suppress notifications or -EnableNotification to enable them. The cmdlet also offers -UseDefaultText and -CustomText for progress-notification text; when default text is disabled, provide custom text. Refer to the Set-CMTaskSequence reference for syntax and parameter details.

These task-sequence properties are distinct from the deployment progress option: changing -ShowTaskSequenceProgress affects the progress dialog, not the availability toast.
Use HideAll only for broader hiding
For a phased task-sequence deployment, the UserNotification parameter accepts DisplayAll or HideAll. Microsoft describes HideAll as hiding the deployment in Software Center and hiding all notifications. That is broader than suppressing only the availability toast.
