To hide an NFT from your OpenSea profile, open your profile’s NFTs tab, select the item, and click the eye icon in the bottom action bar. Hiding changes what appears on your profile; it does not remove the NFT from your wallet or hide its blockchain record.
Hide an NFT from your OpenSea profile
- Open your OpenSea profile and select the NFTs tab.
- Select the NFT or NFTs you want to hide.
- Click the eye icon in the bottom action bar. The selected items are hidden from your profile.
These steps follow OpenSea Help Center’s guide, “How do I hide NFTs and tokens from my OpenSea profile?”, dated September 19, 2025. OpenSea’s instructions for hiding NFTs and tokens describe the same profile-curation workflow.
Find a hidden NFT and make it visible again
- On the profile’s NFTs tab, open the Status dropdown and choose Hidden.
- Select the NFT you want to restore.
- Click the eye icon to unhide it.
OpenSea’s guide also describes equivalent hide and unhide steps for tokens in the Tokens tab.

What hiding changes—and what it leaves unchanged
Hiding an item is a display setting for your profile, not an on-chain action. The NFT remains in your wallet and its blockchain record can still be viewed with tools such as Etherscan. OpenSea also says an individually hidden NFT may remain visible elsewhere on OpenSea, including its collection page. OpenSea’s profile-visibility guide explains the profile scope; its collection-hiding guide distinguishes an item from a collection.

OpenSea’s Portfolio view excludes hidden NFTs and tokens from the displayed holdings and estimated portfolio value. This is a presentation change, not evidence that an NFT has left the wallet. OpenSea’s Portfolio guide describes that display behavior.
Hide an item, hide a collection, or burn an NFT?

Do not burn an NFT merely to remove it from your profile: burning is a different, irreversible action. See OpenSea’s guide to hiding a collection for the collection-level option.

If an NFT appears in Hidden unexpectedly
OpenSea may automatically move certain transferred NFTs or tokens into Hidden status; its help guide gives low-liquidity tokens as an example. A hidden item is not automatically malicious, and receiving an unsolicited NFT does not by itself show that your wallet was compromised. Still, scammers may use unsolicited NFTs to tempt people to visit malicious links, so treat links associated with unfamiliar items cautiously. OpenSea says simply unhiding an item does not directly interact with the NFT or a third-party website. OpenSea explains why items may appear in Hidden.

Check Hidden first, then confirm that you are viewing the correct wallet and profile. OpenSea lists a delayed transaction or delisting as other possible reasons an item may not appear. If a transaction is delayed, inspect its status using the transaction hash. A delisted item is different from a manually hidden one: it remains on the blockchain but may no longer be visible on OpenSea. OpenSea’s profile guide covers hidden items, while its missing-item guide explains other causes.
