YouTube’s published information does not provide a way to subscribe to or watch YouTube TV from Canada. Its service page says YouTube TV works in the United States where available and that programs cannot be accessed while traveling internationally. YouTube Premium is available in Canada, but it is a separate service—not a way to get YouTube TV.
Can you get YouTube TV in Canada?
YouTube TV’s official service information describes availability in the U.S. and says its programs, both live and recorded, are unavailable while traveling internationally. The page says: “You won’t be able to access any programs on YouTube TV, live or recorded, while traveling internationally.” It also says: “YouTube TV works anywhere you have internet access in the US, with live TV offered in markets where YouTube TV is available.” YouTube TV’s availability and travel information
The published information does not provide an authorized Canadian signup method. It does not enumerate every country or explain every possible account circumstance, so the careful conclusion is that YouTube’s stated availability does not support watching from Canada—not that every hypothetical exception has been ruled out.

No. YouTube lists Premium memberships as available in Canada, but Premium and YouTube TV are separate services. Premium availability does not mean YouTube TV is available in Canada. YouTube’s Premium page directs people looking for YouTube TV to its separate Help Center.

Will a VPN or streaming device make YouTube TV work?
YouTube’s stated international-travel restriction still applies, and its published information does not document a VPN, U.S. billing details, or a streaming device as an authorized way to watch from Canada. A VPN or hardware purchase should not be treated as a guaranteed solution. A device can connect to streaming services, but it cannot by itself change the service’s stated geographic availability.
What to do if you want live TV in Canada
Check Canadian live-TV providers and compare the details that matter for your viewing before subscribing. Packages and availability can vary, so confirm them directly with each provider.
