You can’t use YouTube Music’s offline-download button to create portable song files for Apple Music. To move playlist and library entries, use Apple Music’s transfer feature if your source service is available for your account and region. To add audio to Apple Music, import a local file you already have permission to use.
What “download YouTube songs to Apple Music” can mean
These are three different tasks, and each has a different route:

Can you download YouTube Music songs directly into Apple Music?
No—not through YouTube Music’s official offline-download feature. YouTube Music Premium lets you save music for playback in its app. The downloads are not described as exportable audio files, so Apple Music cannot import them as songs. To keep offline listening in YouTube Music, the account must reconnect to the internet at least once every 30 days to maintain downloads. YouTube Music Help
Apple Music’s transfer feature is different: it looks for matching catalog entries in a supported service and adds matches to your Apple Music library. It transfers library information, not the underlying audio. Availability of source services and matches can vary.

How to transfer a playlist or library to Apple Music
- Make sure you have an Apple Music subscription and Sync Library is enabled.
- On a supported iPhone, iPad, Android device, or at music.apple.com, open Apple Music’s “Transfer Music from Other Music Services” or “Transfer Music” feature.
- Check the list of available source services for your account and region. Do not assume YouTube Music will appear; Apple says transfer options depend on the service.
- If your source service is listed, sign in, choose the playlists or music you want to move, and select “Add to Library.”
- Review any unmatched items and select alternatives if Apple offers them. Apple’s support page says you have 30 days from the initial transfer to review unmatched music and choose alternatives.
Not every video, track, or version will necessarily match. A transfer adds catalog matches, not copies of YouTube audio. Apple Support: Transfer your library and playlists
Why Google’s playlist-transfer instructions do not export YouTube audio
Google’s playlist-transfer help explains how to import playlists from another service into YouTube Music. That is the opposite direction from exporting YouTube Music audio to Apple Music, and it does not provide a way to extract audio files. Google also notes that songs may not be available or matched, changes do not sync back to the original service, and the original service’s music remains there. How to import a local audio file into Apple Music
If you already have an audio file you are legally entitled to use, you can add that file to Apple Music. On Windows, Apple’s guide says to drag the local file into the Apple Music app. A website may provide only a link that streams audio rather than an actual file; a streaming link cannot be imported as a local song. Keep the file in its stored location so it remains available to your library. Apple’s guide warns, “Don’t steal music.” Apple Music User Guide
YouTube Music also supports uploading personal audio files to its library. Google lists FLAC, M4A, MP3, OGG, and WMA as supported formats. Uploading a file to YouTube Music is a way to add a file you have; it is not a way to extract a YouTube stream. YouTube Music Help: Upload music to your library

How to keep listening offline in YouTube Music
If offline playback is your goal, use the YouTube Music app rather than trying to put its downloads in Apple Music. A YouTube Music Premium account can download music in the app, subject to available device storage. Reconnect to the internet at least once every 30 days to maintain those downloads.
