There is no “Woodland Beast” trophy identified in the cited Witcher 3 trophy guide: Woodland Beast is a Velen contract. The similarly named Woodland Spirit trophy is tied to the separate contract In the Heart of the Forest. If you meant the contract, follow the walkthrough below; if you meant the trophy, start the other contract and take the route that kills the spirit.
Woodland Beast is a contract, not the trophy
The Official Witcher Wiki lists Contract: Woodland Beast as a Velen contract suggested for level 6, not as a trophy. The level is a suggestion, not a requirement. The contract begins from a notice board near the Border Post; its associated Scoia’tael camp is northwest of the Inn at the Crossroads. The Official Witcher Wiki’s contract entry is community edited, so treat its details as a guide rather than a platform-specific trophy list.
The older PlayStationTrophies.org guide is for the Game of the Year Edition and distinguishes this contract from the Woodland Spirit trophy. It does not establish that every current platform or edition has an identical trophy list. Read the Game of the Year Edition trophy guide.

- Take the contract. Find the notice board near the Border Post in Velen, along the Pontar, and read the Woodland Beast notice.
- Speak with the guardpost captain. Prima Games’ Complete Edition guide begins the quest by directing Geralt to the captain at the guardpost. See Prima Games’ “Guerrillas In The Midst” walkthrough.
- Inspect the attacked transport. At the attack site, use Witcher Senses to examine the clues.
- Follow the trail. Track the clues with Witcher Senses until they lead to the attackers.
- Decide how to handle the Scoia’tael. The supposed beast is a group of Scoia’tael attacking Redanian transports. You can kill them or let them go; the decision is the contract’s meaningful branch, not a choice that determines whether you can finish the contract.
Reward summaries and conditions vary by the branch described, so there is no single payout or item set to promise for every outcome.

If you meant the Woodland Spirit trophy
That trophy belongs to Contract: In the Heart of the Forest, not Contract: Woodland Beast. The cited trophy guide associates the trophy with the separate contract and indicates that you need the route in which you kill the Woodland Spirit. This is a distinction documented by an older Game of the Year Edition guide, not a guarantee about every modern platform’s trophy list.
