Search Pumpkin Chests and enter Trick or Treat Cheat Codes during the Fortnitemares 2026 rollout to find the Spooky Dash Sprite. Those are the main routes; if you come up empty, keep searching or use a teammate trade, an opponent carrying one, or a Lucky Locator Gizmo.
Where to look for the Spooky Dash Sprite
Epic says Sprites can be found by searching Pumpkin Chests scattered across the Island. Current guides also identify Trick or Treat Cheat Codes as a primary route, and report that rare chests—including vault loot—can contain the Sprite. Epic confirms the event’s Cheat system, but the guides provide the detail on this acquisition method. Epic’s Fortnitemares 2026 announcement and Beebom’s guide describe these routes.
Use this match route
- Enter a Battle Royale match during the Fortnitemares 2026 rollout.
- Choose where to land. Nightmare Neighborhood is a guide-recommended area, but it is highly contested. If you land there, aim for the edge, get a weapon, then search for loot. Wonkeeland, Cluster Coast, and Chopped Shop are also reported as quieter options; locations and loot can change with map updates.
- Search Pumpkin Chests as you move through the area. Keep an eye out for ordinary and rare chests, including vault loot.
- Enter Trick or Treat Cheat Codes found at POIs and in or around Vault areas.
- If you do not find the Sprite, continue searching. Guides describe it as a rare Mythic Sprite, but no authoritative Epic drop rate is established, and secondary sources disagree on how to quantify its rarity.
The landing spots are recommendations from current guides, not guaranteed spawn locations. Beebom and Gamer Guides discuss these routes.

Fallback ways to get one
- Trade a duplicate Sprite with a teammate.
- Defeat an opponent carrying the Sprite; current guides report that equipped Sprites can be obtained from defeated players.
- Use the Lucky Locator Gizmo as a targeted last resort for a Sprite you have not collected.
These fallback methods are reported by Beebom and Gamer Guides; they are not guaranteed drops.

What the Spooky Dash Sprite does
Epic describes its ability as: “Dash into a fight or out of trouble with charges that replenish over time.” Secondary guidance says Phase Dash activates while you are airborne and can pass through some objects, including player-built structures. That makes it useful for escaping a boxed-in fight, crossing exposed ground, or moving through a tight POI. Epic’s announcement provides the official description; Beebom details the reported mechanics.

Spooky Dash is the mobility choice: it gives you a replenishing dash to reposition, push into a fight, or get away. By contrast, Epic describes the Vampire Sprite as restoring health through damage, making it the more directly survivability-focused option. Epic’s Fortnitemares announcement describes both effects.
