Press Home on your LG remote, open Apps or the LG Content Store, and search for NBA. If the app appears for your TV model and country, select it, choose Install, then launch it and sign in with the NBA ID linked to your League Pass subscription. NBA’s published supported-device list does not confirm LG TVs, so availability is not guaranteed; check your exact TV in the LG store before relying on native installation.
Install the NBA app on your LG Smart TV
- Connect the TV to the internet and press Home on the remote.
- Open Apps on webOS 22, or LG Content Store on some older versions, including webOS 5. Labels can differ by software version.
- Select the search icon and search for NBA.
- If the NBA app appears, open its listing and select Install.
- When installation finishes, select Launch and sign in with the NBA ID associated with your League Pass subscription. Follow LG’s app-installation guidance at LG Support.
The app is free to download, but League Pass content requires a subscription and the correct NBA ID. Installing the app does not itself provide access to paid games. See the NBA League Pass overview.
Why you may not see NBA in the LG store
NBA’s enumerated supported-device list names Samsung TVs from 2018 onward but does not list LG TVs. That means the published list does not confirm native LG TV support; it does not prove the app can never appear in an LG store. App availability depends on the TV model and country, so verify your own model and region using LG’s country-and-model store lookup.

Use AirPlay from an iPhone or iPad
If your LG TV supports AirPlay, you can stream from an Apple mobile device or tablet. Put the device and TV on the same Wi-Fi network, then use the NBA app’s AirPlay option. NBA says AirPlay through MacBooks and other PCs is not supported. Check the NBA AirPlay instructions for setup details.

Connect a supported streaming device
NBA lists Fire TV Stick Gen 3 or later with Fire OS 7 or later, and Roku devices with Roku OS 12 or later or 5th Generation or later, in select countries. It also lists Apple TV and Android TV platforms. Requirements and availability vary by country; match the device model, software and market to NBA’s current supported-device requirements before buying. The published requirements do not establish support for every retail model carrying a platform name.
