The documented free route to the Champion Focus outfit was to place within your region’s prize cutoff in the Champion Focus FNCS Cup. That tournament ran on September 20, 2026, and has ended; Epic’s official event information does not establish another current free claim method.
How players could earn Champion Focus for free
Epic listed the Champion Focus outfit as a tournament prize. Players had to finish within the placement cutoff for the specific session and region they entered. The official event listing dates the cup to September 20, 2026; Epic published its official rules on September 17, 2026.

The event listing describes a Solo Battle Royale competition and required entrants to be at least 13, or meet the minimum age required in their country of residence, and have multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled. The rules also describe Zero Build sessions and a separate Mobile Cup with Solo Reload settings.
Champion Focus placement cutoffs by region and mode
These are placement requirements, not point totals. Check the region and session you actually entered; a cutoff in one mode or region does not apply to another.

Epic’s rules also listed separate point thresholds for other cosmetics: in Battle Royale and Zero Build, 40 points for the FNCS Fighter Back Bling and 8 for the FNCS Coin Emoticon; in the Mobile Cup, 20 points for the Back Bling and 5 for the Emoticon. Those point totals were not substitutes for the Champion Focus placement cutoff.
If you placed within the cutoff but have not received the outfit
Epic’s rules say potential winners are generally notified at the email address associated with the Epic account used to compete within 60 days after the applicable session, or within another period reasonably required by Epic. After formal notification, the potential winner has 45 days to respond with requested verification information and a release. The competing Epic account must remain active through verification.

- If Epic sends a verification request, follow its instructions and response deadline.

These instructions apply to potential winners. They do not provide a way to claim the outfit if you did not meet the relevant cutoff.

Can you still get Champion Focus for free?
No current free claim route is established in Epic’s event listing or rules. The tournament has passed, and those official sources do not confirm an Item Shop listing, a later giveaway, or another way to claim the outfit. Future availability is unconfirmed; do not treat the completed cup as an event you can still enter.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
