You can get Among Us Stars for free by watching an optional in-game ad on an eligible Android or iOS account. Innersloth’s latest stated limit is two Stars per day in countries where the reward is available. Stars are added automatically after the ad; playing matches does not earn them.
How to earn free Stars in Among Us
-
Open Among Us on Android or iOS and sign in to a verified account. Guest accounts are excluded, and child accounts need full permissions. See Innersloth’s Ad Rewards – v17.1.1 announcement for the eligibility conditions.
-
Look for the in-game Star button. If the reward is offered to your account and country, tap it to start the optional ad.

Can you get Stars by playing games?
No. Innersloth describes Stars as premium currency, while normal online play earns Beans. Pods accrue through gameplay only while a Cosmicube is active, and XP relates to playtime and level-based multipliers for Beans and Pods—not Star rewards. The distinctions are explained in Innersloth’s 2021 Cosmicubes and roles announcement.
For a dated example of how the currencies serve different store roles, Innersloth’s October 1, 2026 event announcement listed the Trick Cosmicube for 70 Stars and the Treat Cosmicube for 2,600 Beans. Those are event-specific prices, not permanent store prices. The same event’s creator-viewing promotion unlocked a cosmetic with a unique in-game code; it did not award Stars. - Life as a Crewmate: Complete all your tasks on the ship to win but watch out for Impostors. Report dead bodies and call emergency meetings to vote the Impostors out. Hope you chose correctly
- Play as an Impostor: Cause chaos, sneak around, and frame innocent bystanders. Winning involves killing off every Crewmate - think you’re a master of sabotage
- Customization: Choose how you want to play. Add more impostors, tasks, decrease visibility and more. All in style as you get to choose your favorite color, outfit, and hat
- Cross-platform: Play with your friends between PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, Android, and iOS
Why can’t I see the Star ad button?
The feature may not be available for your account or country. Innersloth’s launch announcement says guest accounts are excluded, child accounts need full permissions, and rewards may not appear in unsupported countries. If you meet those conditions and still do not see the option, the official sources cited here do not specify a further fix. Check the current in-game screen and Innersloth’s latest mobile update notices, since availability and daily limits can change.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Are there other free Star codes or purchases?
The documented creator promotion in the October 2026 event was for a cosmetic, not Stars. The official sources cited here do not establish that a physical game copy, phone or tablet, gift card, or merchandise grants free Stars. The supported free method is the optional mobile ad reward when it is available to your account.
